Agree on the fuses. We already have components to change out, fuses make zero sense. As for fires, besides catching the walls and floors on fire, I could see an engine room being enflamed during battle. This happens on our boats today, just ask the NZ navy chick who ran an ocean floor mapping boat into a reef that was on the ocean floor. Enemy doesn't give a time out because they may have caused a fire. Also fire extinguishers will recharge on their holder so long as life support is functioning. replacing fuzes and fighting spreading fires mid combat does NOT sound fun.
Fires sound good in concept. But the fact that our space ships that are made of futuristic metal will be burning is non sensical. Or maybe in the infinite wisdom of ship manufacturing the companies made the interior walls of the crusader hercules series from flammable material. Some of them are only military transport ships, so why would something doing hot drops in combat zones need to be fire resistant?
@@Power5 why arent their automated fire suppression systems? why cant we just vent compartments?
but to top it all of. it doesnt sound fun or particle to be doing that mid battle the enemy is just going to keep blasting you. + theirs no way to recharge fire extinguishers, or repair damage so whats the point of all this junk? and replacing fuzes is the dumbest most boring thing i have ever seen.
At least that is what I remember hearing during that talk.
The sad thing is they are pushing multiplayer gameplay on larger ships and removing anything that would make that gameplay remotely interesting. Why would I want to be a player on someone else's ship when I can buy my own ship and be the captain. OH! thats the point.
