@@TeamPandory all we really need is 8 cores 16 threads and ryzen 7 vega graphics for $199. I think the 5000 series of ryzen 7 may be the 1st chipset to offer a better value soon. Just picked this little machine up recently to see how it stacks up again my M1 Mac Mini. I have to say it's excellent for its size and price point (it cost me £350). I'm not sure if for my work it is better than the 8gb Mac mini. But it feels on par speed wise.
I don't think the machine is too bad GPU wise, whilst the frame rates were not perfect it was pushing GTA 5 out mighty fine. Throw some Switch emulators on it and see how well Zelda TOTK runs. I'd love to know, my old Dell needs to be taken to the knackers yard...
@@Mclaneinc To be fair to the 680m it is integrated and in such a small for factor. It can squeeze most games out at 1080p with a carefully selected mix of medium to high. Even the tougher to run ones such as Shadow of the Tomb Raider are good for 45+ with these settings. Far better than a PS4 or Xbox one at a 10th the size, which are usually stuck at 900p for xbox one and 30fps or lower on both Xbox and PS4.
@@charlievarley It's certainly sounding tempting, especially if I use a paypal 3 way split. Performance is so good ! Btw I have 680m igpu and the core clock seems to be constantly fluctuating between 400 and 2000 mhz even at idle , and the memory clock idle at 2200 mhz too is this normal for this igpu?

Check the top right of the screen. CPU temp and GPU temp is there. This does also depend on settings used. If you use the resolution scaling options it can be reduced.
We used default on this mini pc, so 35w. We made a video showing the difference between 35w Vs 45w and there honestly isn't much difference outside the heat increase.

As these mini pc’s seem to release rapidly, soon one similar to this one may be in the $199 range . That would be the sweet spot.
You do have a point, they are being released fairly often, but the same can be said about regular PC parts.
