my grandmother lives near there, and the music reminds me so much of going to her house, because she always had the TV in the kitchen playing channel 69 or accuweather, and they always played music like this.
I miss the huge circular ramp in the middle . I LOVED playing on it & the children’s store (which was awesome in and of itself) was right at the top…. and I miss Swensons ice cream parlor
I went to this mall back in 2019, on my summer vacation, whenever I visited Dorney Park. I thought it was beautiful! Good to see it again, especially on one of my favorite RUclips channels.
One tenant the mall is likely to be losing soon is the Disney Store. Most of the remaining ones will be closing in mid-September. I suspect all will be gone soon.
I used to work on HVAC units in this area. Mostly restaurants and malls. I remember the ruby Tuesday in this mall and outside of the mall in the same lot was a chuck e e cheese , Chi Chis and lone star steakhouse. I wonder if any of them are left. Great video
I swear this mall stole business from the others, but Mom & Pops are swooping in this mall and South Mall. Westgate (formerly Westgate mall) is being demalled. All I must say it is thriving.
We just visited the area this past week, and although I do like all those malls, I wouldn't say they are thriving. Westgate Mall has one business keeping the glassed in portion going and they have active plans to demolish the interior portion past Sky Zone. Even Rite Aid pulled out, making the left side of the mall pretty bare as well. There are a fair number of businesses that face the outside primarily but that is definitely a preview into the future life of this place. I hear the bulk of the concourse is goung to be parking lots and a drive-thru McDonald's. MEH. South Mall is actually looking better than it was a year ago, although a flea market was taking up most of the concourse, adding much needed life to the place. South Mall will live on as a strip mall, as those portions seem to get the most foot traffic. I just hate that because the Totally Twisted guy is now running the mall that the pretzel shop is never open. Totally Twisted is the best mall pretzel.
@@RawRealRetail True, i agree about everything except the best pretzel, I say Auntie Anne’s i’m sorry. i’ve talked to many people at the mall and seems Giant Food Stores will move the existing one nearby to the former bonton and a arcade at the former victoria secret
Despite the color pallet this is a pretty nice mall. The skylights are nice. I do wish they had not have removed the fountains though. While I normally have lots of negative comments I don’t really have any for this mall. A few odd empty spaces but nothing to be alarmed with. Im just am happy to see a thriving mall.
beautiful looking mall. I say this all the time, but Boscovs would be nice to have in the region, but I know they won't go beyond their territory. I would be happy if they came as west as Toledo or Indy or something. Great looking mall.

Nice to see a mall with life! Now when was this recorded? I hope the life is still there.
This was recorded on May 11, 2021 at around 5:30pm.
Can confirm this mall is as lively as ever
POV: you are a child doing the Dr. Livesey walk through the entire lehigh valley mall.
I still remember chatting with a robot bear around Christmas within the 1990s.

This mall is always packed
I been going here many years. The last time was 2019.

The Lehigh Valley is very pretty.
It is a very pretty area to drive through.

It's already in the process of closing. Last day is Sept. 15. Now, there's only 2 locations left in the state.
Which are.....

I've been to the Lancaster one.

Nice video, but there is a whole outside section that includes an Apple Store. Any reason for not filming that area?!
Forgetfulness
Apple stores and the like aren’t very important in a mall. We’re here to see actual mall stores

Nice to see a healthy mall. Retail isn't dead.
Mom & Pop is the future
What's that building in the center court?
I wish I knew. I suspect the next time we visit, we'll have some answers.

How short are you, 3 feet? I feel like I have the view of a 6 year old.
I used to hold the camera at my side at arms length for discretion.
