A leaked unused track from the Mario Movie OST. This song was replaced in favor of "Peaches". This song cover was made early in the works of the film, when Peach was originally going to be held captive. Nintendo went back and forth with bringing back the "Toadstool" moniker for Peach but ultimately decided against it. Enjoy.
Back in September I half-jokingly said "my only hope for this movie is that Ignorance Is Bliss shows up" and I can't believe I was almost right holy crap. Man it would've been so cool hearing Jack Black sing this in the movie and expose millions of people to this wonderful song, but at least it made it to the planning stages I suppose. It doesn’t really sound like something Bowser would sing, especially the part of him dissing his son, who he’s had a good relation with in the actual games. The people claiming this is the Biggering of the Mario movie perplex me as well, as the reason Biggering is as renouned as it is is due to the fact that it drives the theme of the film home, whereas this really adds nothing too special. Sounds more like parody Bowser rather than actual Bowser.

In all honesty, I'm not convinced that this was actually going to be in the movie, given it was not included in the official soundtrack. And it's quite strange too, as considering the fact that they brought back the opening theme to The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, it would've been totally possible to see this more obscure tune get brought back as well. Ah well, either way you slice it, official or not, this is still a really well done rendition of the track!
After doing a bit of research this could be easily faked BUT still possible that it was planned. This song DOES have history with Nintendo and has info on the Mario wiki. If this song was actually scrapped it was probably because of it not fitting and being an obscure piece of Nintendo history.
