He started doing commentary on actual current ski footage of the time and it took off, I believe he's now had a few branded items from companies wanting to work with em, and Red Bull has flown em out a few times. Reminds me of back in mid 90s seeing Sal Masakela go from Xgames stuff to being everywhere and even doing a Kardashians deal. Nuts. I'd like to see you doing commentary for comps one day and maybe even a boot if we get more footy from yal

Kaho is probably one the of the most stylish young skaters about. There was also clips from RK Parker in this, who is regarded as one of the most stylish skaters going. Martina, Chihiro and Nils are also in this and all celebrated for their style. There was certainly a lot of skaters pushing their limits to land bigger spins and flips which defo means the style drops off a bit but to say you didn’t see a single that looked good outside of Takeshi is a bit shortsighted

no hate or negativity at all for sean kelso, his parts are insane but they're also kinda one dimensional when you put them up against skaters who do more lines on creative spots. they might not be able to do the switch ups SK can do but i do find their parts more entertaining due to the variety than watching SK and his brother skate the same spot for a few mins, which again is great in its own right but for SOTY, i don't know, i feel like there are better contenders. also as a sidenote i think it should be called blader of the year, since skateboarders also do skater of the year
