man, i can't thank you enough for this... i 've been searching for older s.f. performances for years... this was the true golden era of this band. it's a SHAME that younger people these days are not even aware of the EPIC albums septic flesh released back in the 90s. Great work man, thnx again
I dunno. I can agree for the most part, but a lot of the material on Rev. DNA, Sumerian, Communion, and The Mass I still enjoy. I don't think they've lost their touch. It's a bands job to grow and explore new avenues. I LOVED their old material. I wish I could have been graced with a live show like this. But I'll settle for their new still heavy, material!
I’m all for praising their older material for the masterpieces that they are but that doesn’t mean that you have to put down their newer material in the process. Their new material is good as well. Whether it’s better or worse comes down to the listener’s personal taste but to call it mediocre insults the musicianship that’s on display both in this video and in their later releases.
@@ThePandaBrah That's like.. yer opinion, man! ;) I'm not putting down how well they play their instruments, just the fact that their modern material doesn't do anything for me, and is, from a songwriting perspective, incredibly less interesting, intricate or thought out. Just chugging with orchestral layers above it, which is a far cry from their magical first albums. You are perfectly entitled to like their new stuff, as I am to find it mediocre. No hard feelings, and I really wish I could like their current stuff more than I do.
la porte I actually can’t disagree with the way you’ve put it this time as I tend to prefer their earlier material as well. I guess I just find their new material to be better than mediocre yet still a far cry, stylistically, from what it once was! Love the reference by the way
@@ThePandaBrah heheh, can't go wrong with The Dude! ;) And I'm glad we agree about what once was... I'm happy they have success nowadays, I simply wish it equated the moment when they wrote their best material

These early SF songs were truly incredible, some of my all-time favourite metal, really. Do they not play anything from this era anymore?
Sadly they don't
The whole band is made up of amazing musicians but with that being said, I doubt most people realise what an underrated beast of a vocalist Spiros is.
They are fucking incredible
So fucking awesome! Long live septic flesh! (ups! sorry... R.I.P. 1994-1997 u.u)
Ok, 1998 has a little magic to it. But now there's no trace of it at all, right. First 3 albums were brilliant indeed.
Early days Septic Flesh was something
I like this song live better then the album
Excellent footage from an old era of SEPTIC FLESH.Where is the concert?
best period of the SF
первые два альбома(особенно первый) полный улёт.
не понимаю зачем драм машина была нужна на первых альбомах
Incredible! It makes me even sadder that they don't perform these beauties since their reformation, favoring their more mediocre modern material.

Now I know how felt the first anfibians when allowing the air to inhabit in its lungs !
@alotech23 94-97? Whaaaat? I'm guessing you don't enjoy anything after The Ophidian Wheel?
@MyAzathoth 1998
That's right. Except for a few song from Sumerian Daemos. Sorry but it's true.
So who is the drummer
Akis Kapranos.
