Hello , for me putting together a router sled is similar to putting together a train set . What I mean is that I’ve tried making one before and I made plenty of adjustments since the old design , now my rails are being glued in my brace , the materials I used the last time were too thick , so now I learned that thinner material for the rails are much better for the size of my router , you learn how to make router sleds you’re way I see many different ways, and different materials, but mine is still in the learning and growing process , I want to make oak cup holders for vans and suvs I exchange the grain and glue different types of oak to make one board and when it’s router planed and sanded it will look very sharp , well that’s all for now my brother , all the best 😊

Thanks for the video. You are the only one who has emphasised getting the frame flat. I think you could have gone a bit further though and used a laser level but if you don’t one of those then the “Winding Stick” technique would be adequate (youtube vids available). Good stuff, thanks.

Hey Man. Thanks a lot for sharing your videos, I just found your channel and really liked this video. Could you tell me how deep do you put your Router / how many mm you take down from your wood. Like 3 mm or more. Thanks for your advice and best regards from Germany. 😊

Do you like that bosch router? I get to see it in home center, it was hard to push down, and I find the locking mechanism is awkward.

I have the same problem with it. Pushing it down is really hard. You start pushing it and nothing happens. Then it suddenly drops because I’m putting more and more pressure on it. There is no smoothness to it. So I always set the depth I want first then go. Stop then adjust the high, Then go again. It’s a pain and I will get a replacement at some point.

Simple sled anyone can make as long as you have a joiner and planer already that make the sled obsolete 😂

You have good information, but your bad audio makes it impossible to understand your instruction. You should consider redoing the entire voice over.

Thanks for the feedback. I have watched this on several devices both with and without headphones. The sound seems fine to me other than when wearing headphones and the sound only comes out of one ear. However it still sounds clear.
I do need to improve my audio as it has been up and down on some videos. For now I will see if other people have the same issue with this video before thinking of redoing it again.
      Thanks
