I have watched all your clean out videos. I honestly never seen you donate as much stuff. I think it's because you are so happy in life that you can part with some of the things that maybe you were holding onto with hope or old memories.

You should get a cute little basket for your office desk to keep all your junk journal thingies before they go in the journal. Less clutter on the desk :)
Why not get a Murphy bed? That would get the bed out of the way and you would still have a place for a guest should you need it.

Honestly, I would suggest a cute futon type guest bed. Hear me out! 😅 A pull out couch or a Murphy bed both need a lot of room to open - meaning you need to move a lot of items out of the way to open it. A futon type takes a bot more room in general but a lot less to open. Hope it maked sense 😆. I just know that I hated to move everything with a pull out and then you end up piling the extra furniture and it looks cluttered and cramped.

Just a suggestion (I’m mid video so unsure if this was talked about): i think the office would be better on the top floor, as well as your activity area and that middle place (i think it was intended for another living space?) could be the library place. 2 small couches, lots of pillows and 1 full wall of bookshelves ? I think it would look so upscale !

For your christmas decor, you should put them in bins and then take a polaroid of what is inside. Then you know what is in there and they are are neatly organized into bins where its easier to move up and down stairs and store

I did a full cleanse last winter and plan to do the same again this spring. So many women shelters need clothes and products. It’s great ur donating your stuff to those who need it ❤
I loved watching every second of this. I don’t watch any other RUclipsr consistently like I do with you. As someone with adhd as well, I think seeing you pull back the curtain and share your own struggles that can be similar to mine, then find ways to deal with them, it makes me feel hopeful. You feel like a more productive version of me haha

I think you’re going through the same thing as me, with your willingness to start letting things go! I’m in a very happy relationship that I see being my forever, and it’s motivating me to let go of the past, to make room for the future. I know that we’ll probably be combining households in the future, and I’m going to have to pare down the amount of stuff I have or it will be a mess! He doesn’t need all my crap all over the place, nor do I want to put that on him. It’s time to lighten the load for both of our sakes. He’s actually doing the same thing and decluttering to make space for me to be comfortable in his home. He has cleared out a section of closet for me, and added bathroom storage for my things, so I don’t have to take so much back and forth between our places. It’s a great feeling to be starting to really combine our lives. ❤

Girlll I feel this on another level! I got into a masters program in France and am moving to Paris in August…I am selling legit almost everything I own and starting fresh there. I am giving myself till the end of Feb to get everything organized before the craziness of putting the house on the market starts 😅 the 24 hour timer is a great idea!
I need to declutter too! I have four kids and my cleaning solution for stains is equal parts dawn dish soap plus oxyclean powder. Make a paste the apply it to your stain, leave it on for a couple of hours then wash. One time I left it for too long then it made the spot whiter by accident. Wash with your normal cycle. I suggest you don’t throw it in the dryer since it will make the stain adhere, just hang dry 😊
Tara! You love to paint and I just thought of your next project while watching this… paint your electrical outlets to blend in with your kitchen backsplash 😊 I’ve seen people do it before and helps from them looking like eyesores!

It’s usually a big perk to keep for whenever you sell your home - buyers highly appreciate physical manuals to learn their new appliances!

for makeup marks: oxi clean gel stick- apply, let sit for a few days, reapply, let sit for a few days, and if it’s a really tough stain (like foundation), sometimes i do one more application and then i wash that evening. the gel sticks have saved soooo many clothes that i’ve stained
Yes! I was going to suggest oxi clean as well. I use the spray and it gets out every stain. The very stubborn stains I let it sit with the oxi clean on it for up to a week!
When I gave my kitchen a facelift , I added an appliance garage bc I love how yours turned out and you can hide what you don’t want on your counters. Like a microwave 🤣
For the makeup stain.. try resolve!! It’s a spray that you spray on stains before putting in the wash. I usually wet the area with water, spray, let it soak for a bit and then rub the area really good.
I don’t know if it will work with older stains, but it is worth the try!

I’m genuinely shocked at how much clothing a single person can have. Times that by how many people there are in the world. You should try to challenge yourself to not buy any new clothes for 6-12 months. It feels sickening knowing how much waste we produce in first world countries when shipping containers of clothes in videos like this get shipped to developing countries or end up in land fill. I love your videos so much but it would be really inspiring seeing you do project pan / being mindful in what clothes you purchase in the future!

- put your smeg kettle on the counter to hide the outlet you don’t like, it’s gorgeous and matches your kitchen!
- swap your ikea lights over the island for something more interesting (woven in texture, wavy ceramic?)

I put dish soap (my dish soap is ivory, but any plain dish soap will work) on my stains, then cover the stain in oxyclean then straight into the washer. Sometimes it takes two goes, but has never failed me 🙌🏽🙌🏽 if it’s a white shirt, you can let it sit for a while but only if it’s white ❤❤ hope that helps

Idea for the drawers in your closet. Because they are so deep maybe you can add a bin type of containers to life out so you can organize on two levels
For the manuals for appliances you can just download the digital ones and save on the cloud. Saves a lot of space!
14:53 - I soaked the stain with hot water then rubbed some dawn dish soap into it (did this until the stain faded), and then rinsed it with cold water. Then, I threw it in the washing machine with like-colours followed by throwing it in the dryer. and voila, the stain was gone! i hope it works for you

It’s a little bit of a job- but instead of keeping all the physical manuals for your home stuff, you can look for and download the digital PDFs. Save them in a Google drive folder and recycle all that unnecessary paper. You inspired me to go organize some of my junk drawers!
at the 26:38 point- a little collection of electric candles that you can set on an evening timer could look cute there! it’s kinda hidden so a nest of candles might bring it to life?

For the bottom of the table maybe do a rectangle basket with a wool arm knotted blanket!
Stains; use Stain Remover & Wash over and over till out. Do NOT Dry in the dryer till stain is gone. The Dryer will set the stain forever. Just treat & wash till gone, works Great❤

Hi Tara, maybe you should consider converting your guest bedroom into a huge closet where you can keep all your clothes including seasonal, coats, boots, shoes and even PR products all in one very organized place. Maybe consider integrating to the closet system a Murphy bed for a guest. And it would also make great content space for picking out outfits and trying on.
I’m glad u didn’t listen to your family regarding your guest bedroom. It’s your space. If you want a bookshelf, you get a bookshelf! I can imagine a pull out sofa with a bookshelf either at the back or near it and a small table for colouring / painting. And maybe keep the tv in there just for fun. Change the dresser for something else like to store your supplies? So many possibilities 🤗

Be careful using the toaster in that cubby hole, the heat from the toaster can warp the shelf above it. I hope you kept the gingerbread houses, they are cute.
I would try Dawn dish detergent. The blue kind only because it will cut the grease in the make up on your sweatshirt. You might have to try it a couple times since it has been washed and scrub it with a toothbrush, front and back with water and the detergent do not use the green Dawn-it tends to remove color. But if you ever have a grease stain, this is your go to.

Garnier oil infused micellar water with a wipe or cotton pad. Put on both sides of stain and rub and add more as needed until makeup stain disappears. Hope this helps.
When swapping out your decor - instead of making a million trips up and down stairs - use a laundry hamper!

For the stain on your sweater, use a stain remover (resolve is good) and then the steam cycle on your washing machine (I have the same one) that should take it out no problem! And then maybe a giveaway to your followers for beauty products because the viewers are the reason successful influencers get sent these products? Just an idea :)
