Can’t lie I very much enjoyed the opening tangent on Copey’s Dad. Felt a lot more like the early TLC.

This is one of the best starting segments I’ve ever heard, just like sitting down chatting with yer mates. Good on you lads. Best thing on you tube.

We could talk about this all day. So we will. Ha ha.
Gomez, first name on the bench. Probably sums him up well. Gomez plays best when he plays regularly. He's got to move if he wants to play week in week out in central defence which is his best position.
Love the lad because he's never complained or caused a hint of trouble whilst he's been at lfc.

One of the funniest opening segments of any podcast I've ever listened to...come for the footie and immerse yourself in eulogies, death boxes, and wondering what grandad did that not everyone would agree with (probably sexual)...great stuff!

Kope was spot on about Kostas making the lineup for Gomez. If there was anyone to leave off based on past performances, it was Kostas.
Before the summer started ... I would have predicted Kostas to be the first one out. It seems an odd choice given the prevailing stature and experience of the two players ( Gomez vs Kostas )

Really good episode. I really enjoyed the initial opening chat (very poignant with an elderly Dad in hospital, atm). Totally agree with both about Gomez being a player to keep hold of due to his versatility - Difficult to imagine you get a player who can fill in across multiple positions for a similar price and equally unlikely to imagine FSG investing in an upgrade level defender a la City -.
Lastly, I really enjoyed the chat about Ian Graham. Enjoyed watching an interview with him, but can empathise with Klopp's slight antipathy towards data wonks. In my own area of work (higher education), I have seen organisations and government departments proclaim themselves as being "data driven" when the reality is they've twisted data to suit a pre-existing narrative. It was also very interesting to hear about Mané and his character references. Is this speaking to the fact that he was a challenging character when the culture at a club wasn't right? Isn't this a good thing? If clubs in the past had made their decisions on data, I wonder how many ultimately great signings may have been passed over.

Great show, love Rob's insights. Paul, the reason airline pilots don't go faster all of the time is to conserve fuel, which is a big part of an airline's budget. They have to balance the cost of fuel against the virtue of being on time.

As a lover of movie tropes, I plan on leaving money to distant relatives but only if they stay in a haunted house. I’d probably record a video to be played on a VHS to make it seem important. I might even set a series of challenges (maybe a Brewster Millions spend some money to get the money). Or even maybe a treasure map that involves going somewhere amazing.
Writing this it seems a lot of work, I should probably get started! 😂

We didn't play all tunes my brother selected for his funeral. We did a couple but I thinks funeral is about the process of those left behind too so it's what the dead person meant to the. We're the one stuck with having to deal with the loss so it's our day too

very disappointed lads as I've been looking forward all afternoon to the live stream which I thought was gonna be at 5, so I watched Immortals on TNT sports in which ex players pick their starting 11 for a champions league team. I would have liked to know that apparently youse stated at around 3 or 3:30 according to the timeline. Anyway, this is just a middle aged gripe at the fact I have missed out on the live stream but since Gareth wasn't in then it isn't as disappointing but big shout out to Paul Cope seems a decent fella and I'm hoping to catch you next week on a live stream...fucking hell can you tell I'm bored outta my head writing this shit in the comments section...hopefully next week lads; LIVE!
