Great madam. Actually I am kindergarten teacher. Almost 10 years I'm in this field. Just last month I received one Chinese kid. He repeating my instructions on the first day he joined our Kindy. I thought he play with us. After few days I realized this kid have a problem. I searched in Google. I saw ur video in RUclips. It's really helpful.... You done a good job.... Salute you sis.
Hi manasa, good question.. Echolalia is also a part of normal development. Infact it's something we do too. Next time just observe two people in ur house or workplace talking, u will see that each repeats phrases the other is saying. It's a way we connect with people too when we don't know what else to say. Yes typically developing kids also do it. Basically children with a language delay do more echoes because of an underlying language (skill) deficit. So if the child is taught the delayed language skills, they wouldn't have to echo. Hope it answers your question 💜😊

Ecolalia is symptom of ASD or ADHD?
Delayed Echolalia is a result of inadequate language skills. So it is seen in children with a language delay, be it ASD or ADHD.
