She has to because Blakely shaked up the discussion because of her 2 clean chengs and has made the statement she can be used on vault in team final as well as be used for bars and beam (in team finals as top 3 if she keeps showing consistency).
I agree that we'll have to see what Jade does on floor at Trials, especially if she throws in her full potential of the double double for 3rd pass and front layout into a full in - I could see that pushing her on to the team and Skye into an alternate spot.

We can’t pencil in either right now when they finished so close at Nationals and both had two missed routines.
No, if Jade brings a big 14.6+ vault that doesn’t change the fact that Skye is still scoring several tenths higher on vault then the next best vaulter (Shilese). The one who loses out if Jade does well on VT/FX at trials is clearly Jordan and Kayla because neither of them is being super consistent like Jordan 2021 or Leanne 2023. So really they’re going for their floor routine and everything else is a backup you hope you don’t have to use. That’s very different from Skye’s role who is VT/UB at this point with beam just being a bonus.
I know Skye has done really well for herself at Championships but my gut still is saying Simone, Shilese, Suni, Jade and Jordan w/ Skye and Kayla/Leanne as alternates. I am beyond thrilled for Suni - to be told that you're never going to be able to compete again and then manage to pull this type of performance off with even more potential in the bag? She's a warrior. I think mentally having Suni will help bring Simone support as well since they're the only two to know what it's like to be in the hunt for and then win AA gold.
A Cheng is a Cheng and Skye’s is not Melnikova’s (a fall waiting to happen). I also would not put Skye up on beam but even just with vault and bars she’s adding more than having both Jordan and Jade on a team that already has two solid FX scores from Shilese and Simone. Especially if Jade can’t get up to 14.1+ floor scores then she does not have a spot on the team in my book
@@Plaspos I wouldn’t put Skye on bars tbh - Suni and Shi will put the US in the lead in a TF situation with a bars rotation so you need someone like Jordan or Simone who will just hit a solid routine. Skye has fallen at multiple international events during important competitions and fell at classic on bars. I would rather put a consistent hitter and if a Cheng is a Cheng, then Jade would do that fine and should easily break 14 with her full difficulty while Skye is sitting around mid to mid high 13s at her full capacity.

It is like she has become a whole new gymnasts and so I am not surprised that she has continued to do well since. That Cheng has made such a world of difference to Skye that I am willing to go so far and say that Shilese's 2nd position behind Simone would be threatened by Skye if she continues to perform as well as she did at Nationals.

I think you’re forgetting that Jade out scored Jordan on vault both days. And Jade out scored Jordan on floor one of the two days with a watered down routine. Thus, I don’t see how Jordan would be considered over Jade. (But I’m a fan of both athletes). Perhaps you are heavily considering that Jordan is a better all arounder? Let’s remember Simone, Shi, Skye, and Suni will be battling for that. A fifth All arounder is (in my opinion) not a priority for the team.
Everyone saying Jordan Chiles will make the team but Kayla Dicello out scored her in the all around and is just as consistent. I think Shilese Simone, Suni , Blakely and Dicello would be the best team for USA
Kayla is not just as consistent as Jordan. They both have consistency problems, but when Kayla has a problem she has a whole bad day. When Jordan has a problem it's just the one problem but she pulls it all together and doesn't let it throw everything off. Of the recent three nights of competition, Kayla was really off for two out of three. Further, if Jordan can keep breaking 14 on floor, then she's more valuable than Kyla to the team score.
Kayla didn’t show her best gymnastics when it mattered to me. I wanted her to perform at Classics when Gabby and Konnor returned, but she was overwhelmed like most gymnasts who read the room and got worried. She still deserves her chance if she’s top three at Trials.
IMO Where Kayla fits is as a 3rd all arounder but with Skye’s recent performance (and if she keeps up with consistency at trials) skye took that spot sooo Kayla would need to show she is very strong and high scoring in 2/4 events with suni being beautiful on bars and beam (and possibly more difficulty) they need a high scoring floor and vault which is why I think Jordan fits in over Kayla! but Kayla has been having an excellent year so far and I’d hate for her to be left off the team again :/
I want Simone, Shi, Jordan, and Suni on the team. Tbh I don't care that much who the 5th person is, but Skye really proved herself at nationals. I have never been a huge fan of Skye due to her inconsistency on the world stage, but she seems ready for Paris!

I think the likely team is the 4 S"s: Simone, Shilese, Skye, and Suni. The battle is for the 5th slot, and Jordan, Kayla, Jade, and Leanne will have to slug it out at Trials.
Jade can only make it if she ups both her difficulty and E scores, which is certainly not impossible for her. Her chances fell off quite a bit when Skye unveiled that gorgeous Cheng. Leanne, I think might be out because of how strong Suni, Simone, and Shilese are on bars. If Skye can be consistent on beam, Leanne doesn't have a way in. Even as "specialists" Kayla and Jordan would probably only be 3rd best at whatever event got them onto the team. The US could honestly just take the 4S's and be massively favored in Paris.
Leanne unfortunately is out of it, her bars scores have been way behind Kayla/Jordan and her floor scores are a few tenths too low as well. Especially on a team with Suni and Skye you expect this last team member to go up on floor in team finals. Jordan has a 14.1 now and Kayla has 3 scores above 13.85 this year. Not to mention the AA results which are also well above Leanne. If anything I’d say Kaliya has a slightly better chance than Leanne if she’s healthy because she went 14.0 at classic and still can upgrade the last pass by 0.2…that’s the Olympic bronze medal on floor if she hits it. But realistically I think it’s either going to Jade if she hits full difficulty on floor at trials, or if not then whoever places higher AA at trials between Jordan/Kayla

I'm still routing for Jade, I think she has better chances to get a medal in vault upgrading to an amanar as her 2nd vault, and even in floor with her upgrades. And i think most of the floor scores where overscored and her was under or correct... The gold medal in the team competition is a lock, i think they should try to maximize medal numbers ... My team will be Biles, Shilese , Suni, Skye and Jade .. traveling alternates Chiles and DiCello .... I will even just name a 4 ppl team, and decide in Paris between Jade, Chiles and DiCello
She has upgrades on floor coming and skye had a good weekend but she is not known for consistency. They took the highest score from night or two, jade scored better than skye on night 2.
I don’t think they take Skye off the team with the upgraded vault…..that gives the US about a 2 point lead out of the gate due to vault. I would love to see Jade…..but I agree - unfortunately for her …..but we will see what happens at trials…..
Apparently all of her upgrades are coming during trials because they want her peaking right at trials which means if she does full difficulty on vault and floor my guess is they will take her for that alone and because she’s been so consistent

Jordan and Kayla could be the traveling alternates because they can fulfil the role that alternates should, be able to get up and post decent scores on every apparatus in a case of emergency. Neither has an outstanding apparatus on which they shine so there is NO WAY I will take either of them over Skye.
My team used to be Simone, Shilese, Suni, Jordan, Jade, but after seeing Skye hitting her vault twice at championships, I think she may have pushed out Jade for that spot. I love Jade so much, and I do think her vault was a little underscored at championships, but it wasn’t really any better than Skye’s and Skye is a stronger all-arounder as well. I wish them both the best and I hope everyone hits their routines and upgrades at trials! I’m so nervous for the team selection and I’m not even the one choosing the athletes haha
Adding Jade makes no sense. Simone, Shilese, Skye, & Suni make the most sense. Kayla/Jordan/Jade are fighting for that last spot IMO. Kayla has been the most consistent/reliable. Jade has higher scoring potential on floor when she upgrades floor. Kayla, Jordan, Leanne and Jade are fighting for one slot. Granted, Jade plans to upgrade for Olympic Trials, but the international judges have been nailing her (form deductions, etc.) so it may not matter. Jordan & Kayla are cleaner gymnasts, but Jordan had the error on floor during the Olympic final and she fell again recently on a floor pass. In the end, they may reward Kayla's consistency. Either way, the team will be incredible and I wish them all the very best at Olympic Trials.
Contrary from popular believe, Jade has scored 14+ internationally (2022 worlds qual, team final, all around). Kayla highest floor score is 13.8 at 2021 worlds (and 13.7 at 2023 pan ams). Jordan only scored higher than jade once internationally (2022 worlds final, that is bc jade score got lower after inquiry, they tied initially) at pan am 2023 jordan’s highest floor score is 13.5. I dont know why jade was scored lower domestically.

I keep SHOWING people how with poor choreography, artistry AND form Sabrina still got 13.7 for her floor routine in the Floor final and I KNOW Jade can do much better than that.

we're about to make the same mistake of dishing out these inflated ass domestic scores only to act like chicken little in Paris when the international judges humble us. sorry, but there's no way Josc is breaking 14 on fx or Skye's cheng is breaking 15 in Paris. Ironically, the only gymnast I say was chronically underscored was Jade, who should definitely be on the team
I thought Suni and Kayla's scores were the most inflated the last 2 competitions. If they bring Kayla, they are in for a rude awakening at the Olympics. I think most combinations of the top 8 would bring a team medal at the Olympics, but the selection committee should be fired if the US doesn't get gold and no one but Simone brings an event medal.
I think this pretty accurate…trials (I’ll be there) is going to be critical. I think they have 2 alternates…..Kayla and In my opinion someone very strong on bars would be the other…the third non-traveler is up in the air. But if Shilese doesn’t recover not only will I cry a million tears Kayla moves up. Also if Jordan messing up and Kayla doesn’t at trials they will swap places.
@@whatever3259No one is sleeping on Jade. We haven’t seen upgrades, and better execution, so until then- no one is going to say she’s on their team. She has a lot of work to do during trials if she wants that spot. Skye made things infinitely harder for Jade after scoring a 15.000 on her cheng. Jade needs to pull out a miracle. Also- The domestic judges didn’t do her dirty. She may have deserved a tenth or two on her floor, but even then, there are better executed floor routines.

Suni not healthy enough to do difficulty, Leanne does hold up under pressure, Kayla hasn't produced that "amazing meet" were still waiting for. US need healthy youth...Skye..it can't be a popularity contest.
If Skye is outperforming Jade, there’s no reason she should be an Alternate. I like Leanne but I am not sure about her making the team. I will select Ms. Rivera as an alternate.
I would chose Simone, Shilese or Jordan, Suni, Skye and Jade. I like Jade alot, if she increased her difficulty and work on artistry on the floor. I love Shilese if she is healthy, I love to see her on the team. Suni also needs to increase her difficulty on bars. But all in all we are going to have a great team in Paris this year.
The team really only needs three contenders for individual medals, which Simone, Shilese, and Suni are. At most they'll add one other person who can be a contender for individual medals. For the remaining spot they might be better off with someone who's consistently getting high scores, even if it's not high enough to medal. Jordan outperforms all the other contenders-Skye, Kayla, Jade, etc.-in terms of consistency. I don't see why she wouldn't make the team.
Yeah okay buddy you're probably one of the people that swore Gabby Douglass was gonna make the team. There is absolutely a spot for Jordan now will she get one is iffy cause USAG doesn't always just pick the highest scoring athletes like any other sport it's super political so who knows

The 100% Locks (if healthy) are: Vault: Simone, Skye (that Cheng!) Bars: Shilese, Suni, Simone (full) Beam: Simone, Suni Floor: Simone It's the S List and a Specialist. The problem for any specialist (Jade, Kaliya), is how strong the 4S's are at the events they are NOT locks in. Because of Skye's UB and BB, Shilese's Vault and Floor, a specialist might end up losing out to a really good generalist like Jordan or Kayla. If Kaliya somehow shows up to trials with a Cheng on vault or Jade ups her Floor scores, it'll be very difficult to turn them away.

I really wish there was a spot for Leanne because I just love how her gymnastics looks. I wonder if she would consider coming back for the next Olympics. I think it will be Simone, Shi, Skye or Suni, Kayla and Jade. I think with jade's upgrades you can't really leave her at home, but if she messes up at trials then someone else will be waiting to steal that spot.

Can't since Shilese didn't compete the two championship nights, and she's a lock to make the team if she's healthy. Also, Suni didn't compete bars in the first meet for health reasons, which is one of her primary events that she'd make the team for. It would be a pointless endeavor.
If everyone hits at Trials, Jordan has the most to gain since she had 2 falls. Although every tenth counts, the calculations for highest scoring team are within a tenth or two. Instead of trying to go into the permutations and combinations to justify their decision (Do we use highest score or average? Does trials count for more?), they will take top 5 AA. 😊
I really like how you put this video together. Seeing the athletes doing the same routine signed by side is helpful. Kayla is a beautiful gymnast and deserves high scores, however I've never been a personal fan and not sure why. Seeing her bar routine next to the others surprised me because it was better than I remembered during the competition. I'm really curious to see the trials and when the pressure's on who can give their best performance as well as the upgrades. I'm a Jade Carey fan but she'll have to perfect her Chang in the next few weeks. I'm not sure what she can do about floor. I don't understand why she got lower scores. I guess because of her artistry? They didn't like her dance moves and choreography? Her tumbling and landings are excellent.
having Skye even look at beam in team finals scares me, but TBH, USA could absorb 2 or even 3 falls in TF and still win. I'd like for them NOT to fall, but a team of the 4 "S"'s and whoever is best for 5th will have a huge advantage over every other team, so a fall or a couple of falls won't be the end of the world.

At Worlds Jordan fell in Qualifications on Beam. They still chose her to do All Events during Team Finals. She scored above 14 on Floor, Vault, and Bars and had the highest score on Beam. Sounds Reliable To Me

I think some of us need to quit using the word “lock” for everyone due to bias. Simone as long as she remains injury free is the only lock. Shi certainly is pretty damn close to being a lock, but let’s see how her shoulder does at trials. Suni if she hits bars and beam at trials and there’s no injuries then she’s for sure going. Skye is not a lock. She certainly upped her stock at championships, but are we forgetting about how inconsistent she is internationally? Like let’s calm down and see how her trials go first before we throw the word “lock”. As for the final spot, the BIGGEST (not only) contenders are Kayla/Jordan/Jade. Let’s stop saying jordan is more consistent than both Jade and Kayla 💀. For me they are all tied in that department. I think it’s going to comedown to who does better than the others on the events that the us would be weaker on and who is more consistent of the 3. I see people writing Kayla out, but she is most certainly in the conversation. She won the Pan Ams all-around gold, beating Jordan and won bronze at the championships on Sunday. However jordan was close to Kayla’s score. It’s going to be a tight race, but Kayla most certainly is not out.

I want Simone, Shi, Jordan, and Suni on the team. Tbh I don't care that much who the 5th person is, but Skye really proved herself at nationals. I have never been a huge fan of Skye due to her inconsistency on the world stage, but she seems ready for Paris!
Really not meaning to be rude! But I’m surprised Kayla’s beam routine was on this video. Every single skill had really visible deductions. Edit: except for the mount.
I think the likely team is the 4 S"s: Simone, Shilese, Skye, and Suni. The battle is for the 5th slot, and Jordan, Kayla, Jade, and Leanne will have to slug it out at Trials.
Jade can only make it if she ups both her difficulty and E scores, which is certainly not impossible for her. Her chances fell off quite a bit when Skye unveiled that gorgeous Cheng. Leanne, I think might be out because of how strong Suni, Simone, and Shilese are on bars. If Skye can be consistent on beam, Leanne doesn't have a way in. Even as "specialists" Kayla and Jordan would probably only be 3rd best at whatever event got them onto the team. The US could honestly just take the 4S's and be massively favored in Paris.
Leanne unfortunately is out of it, her bars scores have been way behind Kayla/Jordan and her floor scores are a few tenths too low as well. Especially on a team with Suni and Skye you expect this last team member to go up on floor in team finals. Jordan has a 14.1 now and Kayla has 3 scores above 13.85 this year. Not to mention the AA results which are also well above Leanne. If anything I’d say Kaliya has a slightly better chance than Leanne if she’s healthy because she went 14.0 at classic and still can upgrade the last pass by 0.2…that’s the Olympic bronze medal on floor if she hits it. But realistically I think it’s either going to Jade if she hits full difficulty on floor at trials, or if not then whoever places higher AA at trials between Jordan/Kayla
Simone Biles, Skye B., Shilese, Suni Lee, (just realized all these "S" names LOL) Jade or Jordan as 5th then the latter and Kayla as alternate is how I would pick. :) but seriously all of these girls are amazing and should be so proud of how well they all performed, either way it ends up going, the U.S.A is going to kill it!!❤❤
I'm still routing for Jade, I think she has better chances to get a medal in vault upgrading to an amanar as her 2nd vault, and even in floor with her upgrades. And i think most of the floor scores where overscored and her was under or correct... The gold medal in the team competition is a lock, i think they should try to maximize medal numbers ... My team will be Biles, Shilese , Suni, Skye and Jade .. traveling alternates Chiles and DiCello .... I will even just name a 4 ppl team, and decide in Paris between Jade, Chiles and DiCello
Joscelyn is so tiny... I remember seeing her for the first time last year at nationals... she was very powerful!
I’m so sad cuz I’ve been pulling for Jade but I don’t see a place for her with Skye upgrading vault and her floor not scoring particularly well lately
She has upgrades on floor coming and skye had a good weekend but she is not known for consistency. They took the highest score from night or two, jade scored better than skye on night 2.

I don’t think they take Skye off the team with the upgraded vault…..that gives the US about a 2 point lead out of the gate due to vault. I would love to see Jade…..but I agree - unfortunately for her …..but we will see what happens at trials…..
Apparently all of her upgrades are coming during trials because they want her peaking right at trials which means if she does full difficulty on vault and floor my guess is they will take her for that alone and because she’s been so consistent
@@surgeon1016 IF they are smart the selection committee will include both her and Skye. Jordan and Kayla could be the traveling alternates because they can fulfil the role that alternates should, be able to get up and post decent scores on every apparatus in a case of emergency. Neither has an outstanding apparatus on which they shine so there is NO WAY I will take either of them over Skye.
My team used to be Simone, Shilese, Suni, Jordan, Jade, but after seeing Skye hitting her vault twice at championships, I think she may have pushed out Jade for that spot. I love Jade so much, and I do think her vault was a little underscored at championships, but it wasn’t really any better than Skye’s and Skye is a stronger all-arounder as well.
I wish them both the best and I hope everyone hits their routines and upgrades at trials! I’m so nervous for the team selection and I’m not even the one choosing the athletes haha

Kayla/Jordan/Jade are fighting for that last spot IMO. Kayla has been the most consistent/reliable. Jade has higher scoring potential on floor when she upgrades floor.
Kayla, Jordan, Leanne and Jade are fighting for one slot. Granted, Jade plans to upgrade for Olympic Trials, but the international judges have been nailing her (form deductions, etc.) so it may not matter.
Jordan & Kayla are cleaner gymnasts, but Jordan had the error on floor during the Olympic final and she fell again recently on a floor pass. In the end, they may reward Kayla's consistency. Either way, the team will be incredible and I wish them all the very best at Olympic Trials.
Kayla will never score that high internationally with that form.
Contrary from popular believe, Jade has scored 14+ internationally (2022 worlds qual, team final, all around). Kayla highest floor score is 13.8 at 2021 worlds (and 13.7 at 2023 pan ams). Jordan only scored higher than jade once internationally (2022 worlds final, that is bc jade score got lower after inquiry, they tied initially) at pan am 2023 jordan’s highest floor score is 13.5.
I dont know why jade was scored lower domestically.
@@guardianofthegalaxy2051 The judges were really judging her too harshly which is not necessarily indicative of how she will be scored internationally. I keep SHOWING people how with poor choreography, artistry AND form Sabrina still got 13.7 for her floor routine in the Floor final and I KNOW Jade can do much better than that.

we're about to make the same mistake of dishing out these inflated ass domestic scores only to act like chicken little in Paris when the international judges humble us. sorry, but there's no way Josc is breaking 14 on fx or Skye's cheng is breaking 15 in Paris. Ironically, the only gymnast I say was chronically underscored was Jade, who should definitely be on the team
I thought Suni and Kayla's scores were the most inflated the last 2 competitions. If they bring Kayla, they are in for a rude awakening at the Olympics. I think most combinations of the top 8 would bring a team medal at the Olympics, but the selection committee should be fired if the US doesn't get gold and no one but Simone brings an event medal.

I think this pretty accurate…trials (I’ll be there) is going to be critical. I think they have 2 alternates…..Kayla and In my opinion someone very strong on bars would be the other…the third non-traveler is up in the air. But if Shilese doesn’t recover not only will I cry a million tears Kayla moves up. Also if Jordan messing up and Kayla doesn’t at trials they will swap places.

@@whatever3259No one is sleeping on Jade. We haven’t seen upgrades, and better execution, so until then- no one is going to say she’s on their team. She has a lot of work to do during trials if she wants that spot. Skye made things infinitely harder for Jade after scoring a 15.000 on her cheng. Jade needs to pull out a miracle. Also- The domestic judges didn’t do her dirty. She may have deserved a tenth or two on her floor, but even then, there are better executed floor routines.
@@taylorburtis There are tons of inflated floor routines. like inflated by at least 0.5. And inflated vaults as well. Last time, Tom Deforestation sent Makayla Skinner as a no-confidence vote on Jade, just to get 2PCed by Jade on both vault and floor lol. This selection committee knows nothing about pacing, and judges try to send people by massive domestic inflation.
The battle between Jordan and Kayla for the 5th spot, with Jade very close behind, is going to be wild! Way too close to call.
Simone Biles, Shilese Jones, Skye Blakely, Jordan Chiles, Jade .....US doesnt win with Suni or Leanne or Kayla. Suni not healthy enough to do difficulty, Leanne does hold up under pressure, Kayla hasn't produced that "amazing meet" were still waiting for. US need healthy youth...Skye..it can't be a popularity contest.

Before Us Championships, sure. The second Skye threw that 15.0 Cheng on vault, she was a lock. She has a solid shot at silver in Paris on the event.
If Skye is outperforming Jade, there’s no reason she should be an Alternate.
I like Leanne but I am not sure about her making the team. I will select Ms. Rivera as an alternate.
I would take Simone, Shilese, Suni, Jade, and Jordan.
I would chose Simone, Shilese or Jordan, Suni, Skye and Jade. I like Jade alot, if she increased her difficulty and work on artistry on the floor. I love Shilese if she is healthy, I love to see her on the team. Suni also needs to increase her difficulty on bars. But all in all we are going to have a great team in Paris this year.

The team really only needs three contenders for individual medals, which Simone, Shilese, and Suni are. At most they'll add one other person who can be a contender for individual medals. For the remaining spot they might be better off with someone who's consistently getting high scores, even if it's not high enough to medal. Jordan outperforms all the other contenders-Skye, Kayla, Jade, etc.-in terms of consistency. I don't see why she wouldn't make the team.
Yeah okay buddy you're probably one of the people that swore Gabby Douglass was gonna make the team. There is absolutely a spot for Jordan now will she get one is iffy cause USAG doesn't always just pick the highest scoring athletes like any other sport it's super political so who knows

Simone, Shilese, Skye, Sunisa. And either Jade or Jordan for the last spot with Leanne and Kayla as alternates. Kayla’s attempt at a split leap full on beam during that routine and general form issues realistically should have moved her to 4th in the AA rankings.
i ABSOLUTELY LOVE SIMONE but these younger gymnasts are not getting the recognition they deserve on their own difficulty that honestly, I do not think Simone could do

The 100% Locks (if healthy) are:
Vault: Simone, Skye (that Cheng!)
Bars: Shilese, Suni, Simone (full)
Beam: Simone, Suni
Floor: Simone
It's the S List and a Specialist.
The problem for any specialist (Jade, Kaliya), is how strong the 4S's are at the events they are NOT locks in. Because of Skye's UB and BB, Shilese's Vault and Floor, a specialist might end up losing out to a really good generalist like Jordan or Kayla.
If Kaliya somehow shows up to trials with a Cheng on vault or Jade ups her Floor scores, it'll be very difficult to turn them away.
Who else does 2 vaults apart from Simone? They’ll consider a vault individual medal as a factor

I think it will be Simone, Shi, Skye or Suni, Kayla and Jade. I think with jade's upgrades you can't really leave her at home, but if she messes up at trials then someone else will be waiting to steal that spot.
Do one with the average of all 3 scores! I think they will prioritise consistency over potential so that would be super interesting to see whether it changes things
Can't since Shilese didn't compete the two championship nights, and she's a lock to make the team if she's healthy. Also, Suni didn't compete bars in the first meet for health reasons, which is one of her primary events that she'd make the team for. It would be a pointless endeavor.
If everyone hits at Trials, Jordan has the most to gain since she had 2 falls. Although every tenth counts, the calculations for highest scoring team are within a tenth or two. Instead of trying to go into the permutations and combinations to justify their decision (Do we use highest score or average? Does trials count for more?), they will take top 5 AA. 😊
2 Falls and finished top 5 and finished top 3 at Classics. If Jordan put up 14s in every event and finish top 4 at Olympic Trials, she’s on my team.

I really like how you put this video together. Seeing the athletes doing the same routine signed by side is helpful. Kayla is a beautiful gymnast and deserves high scores, however I've never been a personal fan and not sure why. Seeing her bar routine next to the others surprised me because it was better than I remembered during the competition. I'm really curious to see the trials and when the pressure's on who can give their best performance as well as the upgrades. I'm a Jade Carey fan but she'll have to perfect her Chang in the next few weeks. I'm not sure what she can do about floor. I don't understand why she got lower scores. I guess because of her artistry? They didn't like her dance moves and choreography? Her tumbling and landings are excellent.

having Skye even look at beam in team finals scares me, but TBH, USA could absorb 2 or even 3 falls in TF and still win. I'd like for them NOT to fall, but a team of the 4 "S"'s and whoever is best for 5th will have a huge advantage over every other team, so a fall or a couple of falls won't be the end of the world.

I notice in ALL sports, those big camera cranes look distracting. I don't know how the athletes ignore it and continue on with performances as if it wasn't there.

At Worlds Jordan fell in Qualifications on Beam. They still chose her to do All Events during Team Finals. She scored above 14 on Floor, Vault, and Bars and had the highest score on Beam. Sounds Reliable To Me
@@nassaj8082 That was 2022. In 2023 she Fell on UB at PanAmerican finals. I never saw her compete an entre competition without a fall. Sounds unreliable to me

Simone as long as she remains injury free is the only lock.
Shi certainly is pretty damn close to being a lock, but let’s see how her shoulder does at trials.
Suni if she hits bars and beam at trials and there’s no injuries then she’s for sure going.
Skye is not a lock. She certainly upped her stock at championships, but are we forgetting about how inconsistent she is internationally? Like let’s calm down and see how her trials go first before we throw the word “lock”.
As for the final spot, the BIGGEST (not only) contenders are Kayla/Jordan/Jade. Let’s stop saying jordan is more consistent than both Jade and Kayla 💀. For me they are all tied in that department. I think it’s going to comedown to who does better than the others on the events that the us would be weaker on and who is more consistent of the 3. I see people writing Kayla out, but she is most certainly in the conversation. She won the Pan Ams all-around gold, beating Jordan and won bronze at the championships on Sunday. However jordan was close to Kayla’s score. It’s going to be a tight race, but Kayla most certainly is not out.
