Bill from Flamangos is definitely my hero in this entire show. He gave up living his casual retirement life to try and make his wife and kid's dream come true. He was there through all their bullshit and he never really complained all that much.
It's just what grown up men do, he's a great example
That's a gentleman right there, tho he's married qith a witch
He even talked to Ramsay like it was his idea, even though it became clear the true problems weren't his responsibility, he took responsibility.
I wanted to reach through the screen and shake his wife. WHEN YOU ACTUALLY START MAKING MONEY YOU CAN MOVE TO THE DAMN TROPICS!
But that woman was a witch...
No matter how many times I watch the Flamangos episode, Adele is really the villain there. She says that Bill doesn't do anything, but the guy does all the maintenance. He's even out there serving tableside orders! She's lucky that "poor, old" Bill is there for them.
Seriously, what an awful old wretch
To put it bluntly Adele was a stupid old bat and I have no doubt in my mind that all of the previous success they had was thanks to Bill.
That woman right there is just…I can’t even fathom the words to describe her ☠️
Ditto. Most wives in this show are fucking terrible and she was no exception. I was happy to see Bill so joyous though, what a lovely gentleman.
@@papayer i know right? Bill deserves better honestly
If kitchen nightmares thinks I’m going to sit here for six hours…they are absolutely right 😂😂😂😂
Get a life
🤣🤣🤣💯
oh yes
frr LOL
Mooooodd lol
Sharyn deserved every bit of that moment with Ramsey, you can tell she really lives for her baking and it's very sweet to see. :)
yes she's so sweet plus was absolutely hitting on Gordon it was so funny to see 😂😂
Bazzini's closed shortly after this episode aired, but Sharyn went on to open her own dessert place that is open to this day!!!
GO SHARYN!!!
Sharyn deserves all good coming to her, being so upbeat to every task and challenge Gordon put her up too...O think Gordon new on saying goodbye that Paul ain't going to turn this around and that his effort was a lost cause with this guy
He had Sharon's number so for the revisited episode, Bazini was already closed so he called and visited Sharon's bakery instead 😊
I love how Ramsey always just suddenly drops a proper “fuck me” in context😂😭
😂😂😂😂😂
He can be so hilarious😅!
Ikr
Bill from the flamengos can barely climb the stairs but is so happy to get rid of this hideous decor that he gets in to bring more of it out. What a trooper.
"Mojito destroyed my life" is something you'd hear in an AA Meeting
😅
Pretty festive tropical cocktail to ruin your life lol
They are an adorable couple... I hope they can come back together
@@MordechaiBen613 same, but it's good to see they can support one another, it would be a huge step towards restarting their relationship if they chose to go that route again. Sometimes it's easier to be friends than lovers though, and they're terrific partners in business now.
Aah, mojito is like a baby bottle for most in AA 😆
You never leave me alone, Gordon, even though I always eat frozen pizza while I watch you
Frozen pizza still tastes amazing. Unless we're in one of Gordon's shows
We don't say that, we say fresh frozen
@@chains_of_heaven I love frozen pizza, 3 bucks if it's on sale, 7-9 bucks max (Canadian $$, price may varry) and it does taste amazing! But I would be pissed to pay 15-20 bucks in a restaurant with taxes, tips, commute, having to be outside my house not in pajamas to eat the same things...
@@ioratv fresh frozen from a can 😂
@@ioratv fresh frozen >>>
i love Laura from Mama Rita's, she's 100% genuine and even if she's clueless about what's going on in her restaurant, you can tell her heart is in the right place. Not sure about the dynamic between her and Perla but damn, Laura can pull some of the best faces when Gordon confronts her with the truth.
She was one of the few owners that really did try their best and deserved Gordon's help
Perla is a diner cook.. not a head chef
It was all for the show. After Gordon left, she went right back to the old menu and kept Perla on as head chef
Lol. Perla isn't a chef. She's barely capable of working at Taco Bell.
@@mikesch7672 Don't disparage Taco Bell like that.
Adele: I hate blue, all with the color blue.
(5 minutes later)
"adele wears a full blue tshirt that literally matches the chairs"
Literally what I thought
And was wearing blue the first day...yet claims she doesn’t like that color 🤔
omg i was SOOOOO searching for this very comment.
She hates blue, I hate her. If I saw drowning, I'd leave her.
she has to be one of the worst persons ever...what a toddler
I love how during flamangos when they burn all the tropical decor, you get to see the contrast between adele and bill. Adele is in tears and bill has a big grin on his face the entire time
You know it's entirely scripted right? You can see Adele happy in the corner of others main frames during the reveal.
oh completely scripted.
i got anxious when the narrator said "In the weeks that follow.. Adelle has slipped back to her old ways"
just for it to be a decor change and not the food itself
That's how it starts though.
That mojito story was so wholesome they listened to the advice and just accepted what Gordan had to say. Great to see that team bond again. Wish em the best!
i was hoping they get back together
I think I saw Kata as a contestant on Chopped on Food Network while back but couldn't remember how she did
This is the 3rd time I watch this marathon and I’m not ashamed to admit that I have an addiction to Kitchen Nightmares.
S a m e. It's the thing I like to have on just to have on.
Don’t we all? 😂
Same!!!! I rewatch them over and over lol
I am actually watching this even in my bath 😂
Sharyn is such a star. Glad she pursued her passion for baking when Bazzini went belly-up.
Lisa at Lido remains one of the biggest surprises of this show. Bit of a princess, handed an awful lot thanks to dad's help...but actually got her shit together and became a success. Didn't argue with Gordon, listened to what he said and took it to heart.
Last I checked she owned a few restaurants now which is remarkable considering where this one started.
It really was a huge turn around Aaron Gordon’s return even broke out the white glove to wipe the surfaces and it came back clean and he said it was the first time he’s ever done the white glove test
Honestly I'm also surprised that she managed to succeed with the old kitchen staff by her side. After them walking out on her, talking shit about her behind her back like they did and overall them looking really incompetent at their job, I expected them to either get fired immediately or to sink the restaurant like that iceberg did the Titanic.
I really feel bad for Marcel. So much emotion coming from his expression everytime.
I dont. I noticed the ENTIRE time all he did was bash his ex-wife and talk crap about her to EVERYONE, even called her a bitch but not once did she bad mouth him,she shared her PERSONAL frustration. No wonder why he's divorced. Crybaby ass man.
She write a book...how to drive Marcel crazy lol
even though I've already watched all the episodes...
I'M GONNA WATCH THEM BAAACK 🎵
i love how he always treats the waiting staff great even if the food is bad
There's no reason to treat the waiting stuff bad, when the food being bad is not their problem
@@barbilazar1914no Shi t sherlock
Yeah normally the wait staff is doing a phenomenal job...sad that so many servers are stuck at bad and failing restaurants.
@@barbilazar1914yeah, sadly some people dont realize that. I used to work as a waiter, and got yelled at for the foods
@@barbilazar1914"not their problem" I think is the wrong choice of words as an employee of the company it most certainly is their problem. I think you mean it's not their fault.
I’ve worked as a line cook, a sous chef and as head chef in many restaurants. One thing you must do is go through your cooler top to bottom every day. Making sure everything is good. A golden rule is first in first out. This guy doesn’t give a shit.
Oh, yeah. Anything that looks like it may be about to fade gets minced, sauteed, pureed or Mirepoix-ed! I've worked in a lot of kitchens; some great and some not so much, but it's your responsibility to use your product to the fullest.
@@jennifertaylor4194 Responsibility to a point, however if manager orders 10x more than you're ever going to use within the timeframe, you're not to blame. When it starts to go bad, you throw that shit away. Unfortunately seen a lot of restauranteurs that just skim the bad parts out of a meat for an example, and just refused to work there from that point on.
I worked in grocery store kitchen and we had to check our produce and meat seafood before we cooked a single thing. Produce especially spoils overnight sometimes. Blows my minds seeing some of these kitchen coolers and then hearing the chef say their food is a 9. I'll say if you eat it it will be a 99, as in the fever you'll have after eating it.

The 1st épisode of the season Hot Potato Cafe is missing
Marcelo: Ruins the dish.
Kata: you have chosen death.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He actually did choose death, marrying Kata. That woman is a clear succubus and left that man empty.
@@thomasjones4570He’s no better than her 😅 He left his vulnerable wife to do IVF alone so he could stay out late & party. I’m not sure if you’ve been around people who’ve done IVF, but doing that alone is absolutely soul crushing. It takes such a physical, mental, and emotional toll on the person getting the shots. She’s argumentative but he’s a scumbag 🤷♀️
@@BbiBbiino one does IVF at night.
The idea that a couple needs to be tied at the waist 24/7 is a couple doomed to divorce.
The woman is a clear narcissist, attempted to accuse her husband of cheating just for going out with friends and used that as an excuse to cover up her own infidelity and her disgusting personality came out fully in the show.
You can see it in his face that HE is heartbroken, while she is clearly a stuck up disgusting person who loves the business more than any living thing. Pathetic as are those that excuses her behavior because of her claim which came with no actual proof.
@@thomasjones4570 What I mean is doing IVF in general. The whole process is extremely taxing, it’s not a “one & done” easy process to go through. I’ve been around a couple who’ve broken up for similar reasons, the man leaving her to deal with IVF & its struggles on her own, and she also ended up resenting him. I cannot blame her for being resentful should she be telling the truth. In fact it’s damn near inevitable for one to be resentful in that situation.
I’m not saying couples should be together 24/7 either, but if my partner needed my support during a difficult time & asked me not to go out, I’m not going out. Helping your partner and supporting them through life events are a giant part of being a partner.
You call her a narcissist for resenting him and worrying about herself in this episode, but she is a business partner & she was actively watching it go down the drain while he hurt the business more than helped. No shit she’s going to be argumentative with him, especially in this scenario. She is not obligated to care more for her ex husband than her business, the same applies to him. His feelings are not her issue to fix, and her feelings are not for him to fix.
Edit: Also your complaint of her not showing proof, I’m sorry is she supposed to whip out proof of her claims on a show about saving their business? She mentioned what happened purely to explain to Gordon why she doesn’t exactly get along with her business partner.
I think the Lido Di Manhattan and Lisa has to be one of the best success stories in Kitchen Nightmares. Lido Di Manhattan is open till this very day and Lisa now owns also Seafood restaurant and catering service in Hermosa, CA.
Was that the young girl? Her issue (if it is her) was lack of knowledge. Unlike most people on this show, it wasn't about laziness.

I laughed out loud when adele said she was afraid of losing everything they worked for lol don't you mean what Bill worked for and used his retirement for?

Gordon being sweet to waiters, knowing that it’s not fair they get the blame for bad owners/chefs is my favourite thing
So I always look into which restaurants stay open and how the business is doing, and surprisingly lido’s is not only still going strong, but has expanded and is thriving post pandemic. Major props to Lisa I honestly didn’t think she had it in her

Mojito was filmed 2009, episode aired in 2010, and the doors closed in 2016. Marcelo and Kata did try to continue their relationship, but ultimately it didn’t work out.
It's a shame because watching the episode I always feel like there's something there between them, at least an unresolved romantic tension if not love. Maybe they did figure it out the second time... Not every relationship is going to work even if there is something there
Damn thats a good last after a kn episode, well done to them
I was hoping that they reconciled and maybe had a real baby. She was angry with him and it was obvious. He cried more than she did. I hope they found happiness!

@@Tirgo69 It was destined to fail. yeah, that one felt like the most likely to succeed and turn around. I was so happy for Akira, for finding his spirit again. Sadly I was just reading they actually closed before the episode even aired. I didn't realize how far back the episode was, in 2009. Sadly or happily, i'm unsure, but they're out of the restaurant business. He is an exporter for cosmetics now from what I read.
Bazzini was filmed in 2009, aired in 2010. Gordon returns but it was closed in 2010. Paul is still a chef, along with his son. Sharyn made her own business.
At the very least, it sounds like the loss of the restaurant didn't impact them _too_ much. Paul needed a serious attitude adjustment but I feel for the guy during the episode because it's so obvious how depressed he is but neither he nor anyone around him quite grasps that's what the problem is.
@@joshwenn989 My best guess being that being an owner overwhelmed him quite a bit. He was just a bag of excuses left, right, and center. Hopefully he's overcome that since the restaurant went under.
I honestly thought he was quite pathetic. Saying things like "there's no magic ATM or money-tree out back" or "if people just knew how hard it was they might be more patient" etc. NO ONE has a magic ATM and people are literally paying you for great food and convenience! Do your job or quit. Done.

Three people from this season I disliked more than almost anyone in the entire show: Adele, Lisa, and Andy. Adele worked poor Bill like a dog, treated her staff and customers horribly, and really was the one bad apple that spoiled the whole restaurant. Akira was genuinely trying to change and make the restaurant better after finding himself again, but all Lisa could do was drag him down. Gordon called her out in the best way possible. The way Andy talked to his staff when they were trying to help told me he’s a large chunk of the problem in that restaurant. He doesn’t see how poor his chef is, and is willingly ignorant to the problems and when the waiter brings up the problems, he treats the waiter like crap.
Andy had too quick of a turn around. Think he just did it for the cameras

With SushiKo, what Gordon Ramsay was confusing as "giving up" and "not giving a fuck" seemed like a pretty clear cultural miscommunication.
He's Japanese. His pride, his shame, and his adherence to an authority figure was presenting as silence.
