I love the time stamp labeled “white people” you ain’t wrong, that’s why I created my Rules of Horror. I may be white but I’m leavin within the first 5min of somethin crazy happenin. Sure, it could be ghosts, but it could be worse than that: drug addicts. What’s worse than a supernatural entity in an abandoned building? A human in an abandoned building.
I always wonder why people assume churches are immune to haunting because it is supposed to be holy ground or something yet SOOO many of them are prime sites of ghost activity and no one seems to think that maybe churches aren't safe or exempt from paranormal activity.

Probably because people almost invariably deem ghosts "evil"...despite the fact that most spirits are neutral at worst. While there are spirits that are "intelligent" and bound to interact with people (making noise after being asked, "talking" into devices, touching/pushing, etc.), a vast majority of spirits are "residual" and basically going through the motions, whether or not people are around or attempting to interact with them (many "shadow figures," the Hawaiian Night Marchers, spirits that pass through walls where once stood a door, etc.); since residual hauntings don't actively interact with hunters or their surroundings, they can't really be deemed "evil" (as any injuries aren't caused by the spirit itself)...and not every intelligent haunt is "evil," either (they could be a warning or just trying to pass on a message).
@@Alsebra not to mention phantoms who just want to be put to rest in the correct way, replay hauntings which are extremely sad (ex: the vanishing hitchhiker), and those that never finished something important to them.

I lived an hour away from the smokeys..they are not new, but certainly maintained..I think I know exactly where it is. There's a looped area in the national smokey mountains that you can drive through...bunch of old but maintained churches and cabins and..really a lot of old structures. Abraham falls is my favorite hike around there..

I’m pretty sure the “ghost town” was a film set. Structures are often left behind for future use or left to rot because of the cost of moving it.
A movie set...in the Smoky Mountains...with two distinct churches...that are still being kept up while the houses deteriorate? It has all the earmarks of an old small town (the multiple churches, specifically) that is being protected by a local restoration or protective group.
@@Alsebra they’re not being kept up that much is obvious. Like I said it was likely cheaper to just leave the set as is and abandon it than move/ dismantle it again. Why pay people to do what nature will eventually do for free; or other people who want the materials.

Unless I'm mistaken, as we see the figure in the church "duck down," we can see the front pew behind them. Then when Franko puts his light right up to the window, we can see into the church and there's nobody on the floor. Also, as the guys pointed out, there was no way that figure could've left the building quietly, yet Franko walks into a completely empty church (and runs his flashlight down the pews on the side he saw the figure on)...well, no way unless there was a video cut (that Nuke edited out on accident), that is (which is quite possible).

It's based on Centralia in pa nothing creepy or haunted about it it's a town that don't exist because of an underground mine fire just saying I live close to it about a 37min drive.

Nah, Franko hits up at least two churches in that video yet he claims he "returned" to the one...one church was the regular set-up (long "hallway" with short pews on either side facing the altar at the far end of the building), while the second one was turned 90° and had the pews surrounding the altar (which was located at the side of the church). Two completely separate churches in this "abandoned" (but weirdly well-kept) set of buildings, which is indicative of an *old* town (especially in the mountains...can't have your parishioners trying to trek all the way across town in unfavorable weather).
It could possibly also indicate a town that had some "problems" with alcohol back in the day (whether people were drunks or not...the sin of drink or the threat thereof really set some community members off). My city has approximately the same number of churches as they do bars and several of them (both churches and drinking establishments) date back to the time that the city was just getting going...the churches and bars have similar build dates and are fairly evenly spread throughout (so people wouldn't have to travel too far from their homes to deal with some form of spirits).
