Suggs and KCP form the best defensive backcourt in the league and with their 40% 3-point shooting, they are going to be a tough match up for any backcourt. Orlando is definitely going to turn heads next season with their internal improvements and new additions

@@YourWorstNightmare3333 They will have a tough time scoring and will probably be very ineffecient doing so, but the team can and will still beat them, just a little less than before. I would say they are more evenly matched now as before it was slightly in the Cavs favor. Don't forget their big guys are completely awesome defenders too, which makes it very hard for Orlando to get anything done in the paint.
@@pinobluevogel6458 nah I mean in a series. Ofcourse they win some games at home. Mobley and Allen has no offense they can only score on dunks. Orlando almost beat them last season too without KCP and AB Jett TDSS. 4 players that will give cleaveland headaches
@@YourWorstNightmare3333 I realize it was close, I sadly didn't have time to watch the series at the time, so I only saw some of the highlights. I think they are closer together now, while I believe Cleveland had an advantage last time they met in the playoffs.
I still think despite how good Orlando is defensively, they are still lacking some offensive juice as they are now. It has to come from growth of Paolo, Franz, Suggs, Isaac, basically everyone to be able to create more of an effective offense that holds up in the playoffs.
KCP was a great move, not just for veterancy, but also because he has been a reliable shooter for most of his career. If you look at his jumpshot it is beautiful and extremely balanced from all positions on the court. Also, he doesn't take bad shots so is very efficient. Everyone has an off day once in a while, but for him this is rare. I think Orlando might just want one more big offensive addition, preferably a creator that can also stretch the floor. Maybe we see that at the trade deadline.
@@pinobluevogel6458 team with home court won the series because of home court. If Orlando gets that next year, that’s all need to get past Cleveland. KCP only adds to that. That’s not even mentioning that Orlando is the younger, ascending team.

Not a 1 for 1 comparison, of course, but Lakers lost Caruso to free agency (bulls offered him 1 more year than the Lakers were willing to offer). And then they also traded KCP to get Westbrook 😂

@@MalachiFunches I wouldn't say Ja is a good defender, he is medium at best and Smart is really good, but compared to Jrue & White, KCP & Suggs and Murray & Herb .. they are not really anywhere close as a duo. I think Smart, even though he is probably the guy that can play the biggest size difference, is more reputation based than the actual statistical output these other guys have. (or Murray used to have before he joined the Hawks)

I think Suggs has the limitless energy and effort and KCP has the extremely high consistancy with both defense and shooting, doing this over a very long career succesfully. However for White and Jrue, even though their shooting is certainly less good than KCP, they are way more dialed in and experienced on team defense and both have more playmaking chops for sure. I would even say Jrue is a very dynamic scorer with all the stuff he does around the basket, especially in a limited role when he has most of his energy for defense.

As impossible as this sounds, i would love for Draymond to play for the Magic. Adding Dray's defense , outside shot , toughness, playmaking and Chmpionship experience would make the magic instant contenders ..People forget Dray was shooting over or close to 40% from 3 for multiple seasons.

You wouldn't score. I have been on a basketball court with bottom tier NBA players, and they are much better than they look.
Draymond is wrong about the Magic being unwilling to spend. The Magic had one of the highest payrolls in the world during the Dwight Howard era. They’re just not going to spend on mediocre teams. Even though it’s a smaller market, they still have one of the few ownership groups willing to go into the tax if they feel there’s a chance to win.

@@nono-qe2yq Some players have an in-elastic game, meaning they will always have some sort of offense that will work against nearly every defense. Butler is like that, just like Kawhi, Jokic or Luka. No defender can really stop them, the only thing holding them back is injury basically.
Edwards is special, he'd embarrass anyone. KCP got mad 2nd team votes though, more than JB, Ant, and Tatum. Definitely in the discussion.

I don't think as good as a defender KCP is, he can't measure up to Ant very well, stopping him is a team effort .. not an individual one.

@@YourWorstNightmare3333 I have yet to see it in isolation. Edwards has some flaws in his offensive (and his defensive) game, mainly his playmaking (and his team defense) that is lacking.
Dallas didn't put an individual defender on him, they closed the paint as much as they could and switched between good wing defenders that are way longer than Ant and also about as strong. That is the key to defending him, you take away his isolation as much as you can and let him be a playmaker. Sure, he will make some tough shots, but he won't be as efficient and it will also create a lot of non-possesions.
He is still very young though, so I'm expecting him to improve and be a lot more complete in a few years.
