    I can explain the crowd shouting "Hogan!" during Lesnar v. Goldberg, because I was there. There were two guys in the crowd dressed as Hogan and Savage, and they were doing like a mock pose/flex-off, and I guess the crowd was so bored with the match, that they just focused on those two in the crowd, instead. I am honored to see one of the coveted 0-star matches from you live! Huge fan!

      It looked gorgeous is that final match with the superkicks and german suplexes. It looked gorgeous in old school hockey games too when a player took a shot on net or goalie making a save. And nothing better than flashbulbs on a penalty shot!

      Yep. Former WC contributor Kelly (AKA Triple Kelly, whom I'm friends with on Facebook) wrote the induction for this match. In it, she included a few words from the Hogan cosplayer, who coincidentally encountered a Macho Man cosplayer nearby. They proceeded to cut promos on each other, posing with their replica belts and almost everyone nearby stopped watching the match and started watching those guys. Security eventually stepped in to break it up, but apparently thought it was funny regardless.
      So congrats to those guys. They got a better reaction from the crowd than both Lesnar and Goldberg. :p

    • @JennaLeigh
      @JennaLeigh Год назад +7

      @@namikstudiosno, it isn't. At all. WCW was and is eternally portrayed as second rate, not as good, forever below WWE.
      Benoit was winning the WWE world heavyweight championship - in the world of WWE, a MASSIVE accomplishment, at the biggest show of the year, in the company's most cherished arena.
      That "WCW desperately trying to make good" title win held little to no importance at that point as WCW had devalued their own title so badly by then. Beyond that, Benoit had a foot out the door at that point.

      @@thealjohnsonshow2188 I watched the show as the ending of a lot of guys I used to like when I was a child.
      And the culmination of two "underdogs" capturing the gold at the biggest stage, it was a real feel good moment, see Eddie and Chris celebrating, hugging each other, the confetti, the tears, I liked that moment, to me, is the perfect pay off to the career of both guys, watching them from WCW, jumping ship to WWF, then going back and fort on the midcard to finally win against the best performer the company had at the moment (Angle) and two of the biggest name in the industry (but personal opinion, way too overrated) do the job to a little canadian guy who got inserted in the main event, was shocking, was good, was as Bryan said, a cathartic moment.
      I like to think about WM XX like that, everything that came after is fun and shaped WWE to the company that we watch today, but that moment was good, was watching two of my boys achieving something really important

      Foley's family being in the front row during the I Quit match is probably the most emotional I've ever gotten over anything wrestling related. Seeing that for the first time was just gut-wrenching, and I still have trouble watching it to this day.

    The Hogan chant from the Lesnar Goldberg match was because of a fan dressed as Hogan was taunting a fan dressed as Savage. I was sitting right behind the Randy Savage impersonator. It was, by far, the most entertaining part of that match.

    Its too bad WWE won't do MSG, or similar arenas. I loved when the hard cam faced the side entrance like they did with some of the older shows and even some of the RR matches of the same era. Its so intimate and close up. Those smaller venues with a great crowd is far better than 100,000 fans that you can't really see or hear.

    This one was a special Wrestlemania for me. It was the last year of out Monday Night Raw get together's with myself and my group of wrestling fans (two of which ran the indy circuit for a very short bit). This was also in my mind one of the best Wrestlemanias ever where Eddie and Chris stood tall in the squared circle, which makes me weep knowing what would happen later on in their lives.

    I can give you a good reason for the “You sold out” chants. They’re leaving after Wrestlemania, and most people knowing that makes this look (and I’d agree) that they were given a Wrestlemania match for the last big check before leaving. We know a spot at Wrestlemania gets you a bigger buck, and this match looked and definitely felt like a cash grab before they both fucked off and left. The crowd felt (especially after figuring out they were both leaving after that night) this was a match just put there to be there and the only ones walking away positively were the wrestlers for the Wrestlemania check.

      Only thing I was disappointed in seeing his entrance was the style of hat he wore. I was a huge fan of the rounded top flat brim black hat and have always assumed that either they couldn't find one in time or just plain forgot what his signature hat looked like until later. I think he was wearing the old style the following SmackDown.
