    Nice! Good idea with the ball bearing, I made a weather vein one time ,and instead of the ball I drew it end down until it was spinning on a pin point. So even if it rusted up it would keep spinning. Thst was years ago, it is still working last time I saw it, (made it for a client) yours should too!
    Wow you have a lot in a small shop, I guess I should stop complaining about mine not being big enough, I have at least 2x the room you have!

    • @RickRabjohn
      @RickRabjohn  5 лет назад

      2X? I 'm jealous - I would love a bigger shop. Maybe someday.....

    • @paulesterline5714
      @paulesterline5714 5 лет назад +1

      @@RickRabjohn problem is, it is never enough..... I have slowly worked my way up and it is always too small. You have made great use of every inch. Watching you work you are seamless, flowing... either that or you edit well!

    • @RickRabjohn
      @RickRabjohn  5 лет назад

      ha ha well the edit buttun helps but everything in the shop is on rollers so I can configure the shop as needed. That said, is does take time to set it up depending on what's needed.

    What type metal do you use on the blades

    • @RickRabjohn
      @RickRabjohn  3 года назад

      all mild steel for the blades it believe it was 16 gauge

    • @RickRabjohn
      @RickRabjohn  3 года назад

      The goal I had was to keep it simple and inexpensive which is why I moved away from copper, brass, or aluminium....towards mild steel. The drawback to mild steel is the need to protect it from rust. Despite my efforts, I still get rust and need to touch up the paint about once a year.
