One of my favorite's in 1976, America turned 200 and the 70's music was going strong 💪, song's like this make me feel Happy! Peace 😊✌️ and Love ❤ Gary your 70 year old forever Young Hippie Gary 🕺💃 Great Reaction thanks for the Memories👍
Our local PBS station, Channel 13 in NYC, was holding a fund-raiser and offered two tickets to this show for a donation of $100. I snapped up the tickets, and my wife and I witnessed one of the greatest live performances ever.
Thanks for listening to this, and Im glad you enjoyed it. The original, on Silk Degrees, is well worth a listen, just for your own enjoyment. What a nice Christmas present! Take care, from Alba to Alba. Jim
David Paich co-wrote Lowdown with Boz. Both him, Jeff Porcaro and David Hungate, of Toto fame, played on the original with the Wrecking Crew guitarist, Louie Shelton on guitar. The original is worth a listen.
The New York Rock and Soul Review predates this concert by over 20 years, but has a similar vibe with all three of these guys and other fabulous musicians. I don't think a video is available, but an audio performance was released. One of my favorite tracks is Shakey Ground by Phoebe Snow (RIP).
You should hear the original. It transformed music in the way that few songs have done. It was a harbinger of things to come. And this supergroup did not play this as well as Boz Scaggs' own band back in 2004, let alone back in the day. The electric guitarist seems to be playing some other song and does not understand the magic of the original.
Live performances rarely match up to studio recordings, but I would have given a shed load of money to be in the audience there. As for Mr Harrington.....really?!

The concentration from the drummer to keep the beat for the entire song is stupendous.
YUP !
With all due respect to Jeff Porcaro.
Music makes the world a better place fantastic song! ❤
Great job as always Y'all 👍 The horn you were asking about, is a Flugelhorn. It's a warmer sound than the trumpet 🎺 Spread the love 🐶😎🇺🇸

Several songs in this concert you would really like
Great request!
Wonderful piece of music
Thanks for sharing this new (to me) version of a favorite Boz tune. ☮💛🎶
Got to see him about a year ago- 79 and put on a killer show.
Pure Class
Great rendition of a classic tune. Boz still sounds awesome!
4:00. Thats a Cornet. Usually part of a Brass (Marching) Band.
The lead guitar player and piano player are Donald Fagen and Jon Harrington of “Steely Dan” 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Michael Leonhart, on horn from the SD band too. And his sister Caroline is a back-up singer too.
Merry Christmas!

You HAVE TO REVIEW "Miss Sun" by The Dukes of September!!!
Wow…I didn’t realize Jon Harrington was a Duke 😎😎😎
He must have rode in with Donald Fagen 😊😊😊

So, the original is Toto guys Jeff Porcaro, David Paich, who co-wrote Lowdown, and David Hungate. Steve Porcaro toured with them, too.
Please give your reaction to Vanny Vabiola's new official music video (Never Regret", it just released on 18/12/2024.
Thanks in advance.
