Even when Eri’s quirk goes out of control, she doesn’t turn herself back to before she existed. There are definitely exceptions like Dabi, but even that’s explainable with this logic. He’s susceptible to fire despite having inherited a fire quirk from his father, but he likely inherited his mother’s immunity to ice. So, no, I don’t think Shigaraki would be able to decay himself. His body is most likely immune to the effects of his quirk.
