for a long time I just wanted to kill myself and I didn't care about anything or anyone, so in a messed up way the song is kind of comforting as it feel like my thoughts are being put into music but also a little traumatizeing as I was so scared of myself during that period of time

It's lame, coming from an old grunge rocker, it's an easy lame way out. Deal with the stress or pain. Like all of life,nothing stays the same. Get out of the house ,off the computer and social media. Last case scenario look into legal "herbs". U need to realize these negative thoughts are shared by millions of people just like you. get into art. I drew a crappy stick man for 3 years before I started to make stuff I thought was cool .
Another point to make is NOTHING will solve ur problem instantly. Try changing everything in your life. From your clothes to the food you eat. Force yourself to interact each day.
You gotta understand that this artist is expressing his thoughts through his lyrics ,but at the same time capitalizing and making $ off of people like you. It's art ,not a lifestyle
