Say,, you sure do kick a lot of drums, Jack! I have the exact same set! I started playing again after years of not,, I switched out the heads to Remo emperor coated and put felt strips on both top and bottom heads,,, we don't play loud, we're in our 60s and 70s,,, playing songs from the 60s and 70s! I've been complimented on how good the drums sound, and look. I really like these drums, but the Ludwig logo was a bit too BIG,,,, so I put a vintage 60s Slingerland one on,,, what can I say,, my other set is a Slingerland 80N,,, it lives in my son's garage. The Beat Goes On!!

They are pretty nice! I’ve played a handful of shows with them just to see how they’d work and it didn’t disappoint! Kick was slammin in the PA! I use them in my teaching studio.

Was told by a Breakbeats owner that the lugs are Chinese junk and very hard to get tuned properly to save your $ and go w Gretsch Catalinas !!!!
I’m a Breakbeats owner and have not experienced that at all. This kit gets around 12 hours of playtime a week by me and my students. Never ever a problem.
No problem tuning at all
I’ve also gigged with it and no problems
