  • What is going on with the boat market and boat prices as we approach the 2024 boating season...
    Here's my 2 cents for anyone that's interested.
    I have been selling boats in the UK, Ireland and Europe for the last 18 years. I have seen the ups and the downs, and there's a definite change in the market underway at the moment. Being based in Northern Ireland, we have one foot in the UK and one foot in the European market. This video explains what I see happening at the moment and where I think the market is heading in the near future.

    are you seeing the prices dropping more? Are boats sitting longer or are the buyers still there?

    What about new boats? Pricing have been going up like crazy the last years since Covid. Should I ask for discount or will the factory prices start going down now?

      I think new boat prices will be slow to come down (if they do at all), but not expecting them to rise any further. Also keep an eye out for sales incentives / discounts / cash back deals etc. I would certainly be pushing for a healthy discount if buying a new boat at the moment. If buying a physical boat that a dealer has in stock it should be possible to get a very good deal.

      @@GulfStreamBoats thank you. I have found a physical boat a Bavaria SR motor yacht already in the UK and it is brand new In boating terms what is considered a good deal please in terms of percentage discount from the asking price?

      @@porschecarreras992cabriole8 it depends on a lot of factors - is it an unregistered new boat listed at rrp / is it a demo (previously sold boat) / has it already had a price reduction etc / etc
      Email me more info or a link to the boat to sales@gulfstreamshop.com if you wish & I’ll try to get back to you with a more educated opinion. 👍🙏

      @@GulfStreamBoats hello. I shared already some links so could you please let me know your views? One is a 2 year old Bavaria and the other brand new in the UK

    Thats also my experience - think that prices will even go more down a bit. What would you think of a 2006 Galeon 380 with 2 D4-260 having 250 hours currently?

    • @GulfStreamBoats
      @GulfStreamBoats  6 месяцев назад +1

      Galeon build a great boat. I’ve always been a big fan. D4’s are a great engine option too. As always on a boat of that age (even with very low hours) get a good survey done & make sure you’re buying the best condition boat that your budget will allow. Good luck with it 👍

      @@GulfStreamBoats no educated guess? What about 130k€?

      @GulfStreamBoats  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@peterholtei7018 i couldn’t guess without seeing the boat I’m afraid…. At that age (18 years old) it’s all about condition, service records, paperwork etc…. Sorry I can’t be more specific without seeing it. E-mail me more info at sales@gulfstreamshop.com if you like & I’ll try to get back to you. 👍🙏
