As a former Apple fan, I agree with u. Once the iPhone 7 came out, I was angry at Apple. Then, the x came out, and they removed the fingerprint scanner, than came out the xs which got rid of dongle I was close to buying it but my friend made me realized how much I was missing out on and how Apple is a slap on the face, like $749 phone that was lcd and 720p and even today we have $899 phones from Apple which still comes with 60hz. Honestly, from that, I conclude the original iPhone se being my last iPhone and the last good iPhones without any cuts made.

How could u, that is the most underrated iPhone , have a cheap compact iPhone with minimal compromises it was basically the iPhone 6s mini lite. The only compromises were no 3D touch, which they eventually got rid of from iPhones, the 5s selfie cameras, a bit more fraglie, and 1ˢᵗ gen touch ID. Then they got greedy with the se 2 and 3, and it's nowhere near as good as flagships from a couple of years ago, and even the modern se still has an iPhone 8 camera sensors.

It's not enough to call it can upgrade, and we don't really need hardware upgrade this show cases that, we could keep the same processor for 5 years and just continue to optimize it and make it more efficient, ios is a very time consuming and not productive because of its limitations, they could still keep it simple and make it more productive, add split screen, pip, merge notification and control center into 1, interactive widget, being able to place icon anywhere, clipboard and emoji short cuts and also organize their settings and instead of showing us every apps on the bottom of setting organize it in apps category as well as giving us better storage analysis, improving their system apps like notes and files making it more useful. My point is ios isn't as simple as simple think, pixel is what I call simple and easy to use but also being productive, samsung is too nerdy and advanced.

Once manufacturers perfected the main sensor with OIS, good white balance and exposure they started adding more cameras for zooming, wide angle and maybe main sensors with pixel binning that you wouldn't tell apart unless you start zooming.

he didn’t hold it perfectly his fingers maybe blocked some area of the microphone on the s23’s 1st footage & his 2nd footage of the s23’s audio is perfect for holding it correctly.
The thing is, Samsung absolutely KILLS when it comes to still photos. But they lack when it comes to video recording. My Samsung A25 records 1080p 60fps and the video looks good at first glance, but the colors are a bit off, there is some static in certain areas, and the focus range is just weird.

The photos come out more natural on the s23ultra compared to the 14 pro, apple processes their photos to look warmer i like the natural look. Also, Samsung has a little more detail in the photos because of higher pixalage. And Samsung shoots 8k 40fps video wich is neet, so that's why I went with s23 ultra and not 14pro max I was contemplating between those 2.
The mike on the 5s may be better due to the fact that they had so much space up top to fit a better mike than current phones . Microphone technology hasn't come that far in many years and this is isolated environment so noice cancelling software has no place in this test . Plus back in the day call Quality on the mike and speakers were very important features

For those wondering why the Samsung sounds worse it's because modern high end phones don't have thick enough bezels for mics so they usually sit on top meaning they don't capture audio well when you're recording.

Damn that iphone 5s was pulling it's weight. Freaking brilliant. I used to have an iphone 6. But upgraded to a newer xiaomi 6 years later, when the iphone just was crashing too much, also battery life was not so good, because it was such an old phone with 1810mAh battery. Ok I agree the rear facing camera in the review was definitely better. However I watched this video like 10x and that front facing camera on the old iPhone, to me seems better… I know because of brand bias you probably won’t agree but ignoring the brand, the old Apple seems a little bit better.

For those wondering why the Samsung sounds worse it's because modern high end phones don't have thick enough bezels for mics so they usually sit on top meaning they don't capture audio well when you're recording.
Its his daily use phone so dust,water while raining ,etc will damages the mic unlike the 5s which stays home all day

But upgraded to a newer xiaomi 6 years later, when the iphone just was crashing too much, also battery life was not so good, because it was such an old phone with 1810mAh battery.

Ok I agree the rear facing camera in the review was definitely better. However I watched this video like 10x and that front facing camera on the old iPhone, to me seems better… I know because of brand bias you probably won’t agree but ignoring the brand, the old Apple seems a little bit better.
