Hi All, One of the viewers just reached out to me mentioning that one of the formulas discussed in this video is now resulting in one day earlier price as it should considering we are using "Date-1,"Date" as an input. It looks like Google Finance has patched things now to get price on a particular date. So in case you are working on your sheets and facing the same issue, Don't worry, Just remove "-1" from the formula and let the input be "DATE","DATE" in the function, that will give you the price for that particular date. I'll be testing this out at my end to ensure its working for all Tickers and then also make a video on this if it is indeed :)
Sure, Can you please share your gmail id here or on twitter? (twitter.com/Aneja284) I'll be more than happy to share the sheet to your mail. Thanks for watching the video and reaching out :)
Thanks for appreciating the tool. Please share your gmail ID in comments here or DM me on Twitter (twitter.com/Aneja284) with the gmail ID, Will be more than happy to share the sheet :)
Hi! Just got to see this video thanks to youtube recommendation.. What A Great learning video and appreciate you a lot for sharing your knowledge and skill.. I just have some queries.. To start with first shouldnt we take the working days to calculate the monthly returns such as 65 or 66 days period to calucate the 3 months return and so on.. And 2nd is Nifty Total index combination of nifty 500 and Nifty 250 microcap.. Thanks a lot once again for sharing your all the hard work.. 💐
Hi, Really appreciate you watching the video and reaching out for queries. :) In Google finance, If you input calendar days, it gives prices for only the trading days. E.g. if your input is 1st of the month and 30th of the same month, You won't get 30 rows of prices, You will get 22 rows which indicate 22 trading days. So for 3 month return, It's safe to use Calendar dates as inputs. I also have a Google finance playlist if you would like to check that out -> ruclips.net/p/PLeTEbHwGeCtQz6XA2AfhOCi8C7sOp574g For the second question, I use the 750 Stock universe for two reasons: 1. Going beyond top 750 stocks in India has liquidity issues and risk increases as well. Also 750 stocks have index funds available in case you want to invest in them directly. So this helps in both strategies. 2. Google finance at the end of the day is scraping data from its own website and adding it to the google sheet. More the number of rows, more the time it will take for the sheet to update. I hope the video and the comment has been helpful. :)
Thanks a lot for appreciating the video and taking the time to watch it. Please share your gmail id here or on twitter DM (twitter.com/Aneja284) I'll share it over email if that is needed :)
Sure, can you share your email id here or on twitter ? twitter.com/Aneja284 I can share the sheet as soon as I have your email ID. Thanks for watching the video :)
hi this is some next level thing. I want to know how different would be the results if we dont consider the recency bias. this concept is so complex for me i dont know if my question makes sense or not.
Thank you for appreciating the video :) You can correct for recency bias by tweaking the weightages applied during calculating RS scores. For e.g. right now 40% weightage is given to 3 month rolling returns, if you reduce weightage to this and increase weightage to 6 month, 9 month or 12 month rolling returns, You will be actually reducing the recency bias as per your % input. Let me know if this helps. Have a great day ahead :)

Sir thanks for your reply I caught the mistake Google sheet count holiday also that's why percentage difference is seen
Rs against nifty means we compare stock against nifty in 6 month or 1 year
That's great. Yes Google Finance gives prices for trading days but takes input for calendar dates. Let me know in case you face any issue ahead :)
