@theseferalkids7750 I can't even begin to explain how true that statement is. There is something musically and emotionally for me that's fairly unexplainable. It just helps me to hear Bert's voice on any track. I don't say that as a weird "omg I love his voice" fan girl. I say that as a genuine fan the band. The tone of his musical voice, the lyrics they collectively write and the music they produce. It's healing in the most hard-core of ways 😅
@@mbphotoartI think u nailed it. I completely understand what you are saying. Songs like blue and yellow, on my own, hard to say etc, make me feel like time means nothing, if I close my eyes I’m 16 again and this music is shaping my life and who I will become.
I remember an interview where Bert said he tries capture an essence of an idea and all it encompasses when he writes a song, whether it’s death or addiction or whatever. And sometimes he knows he fully captured the aura of the idea. That really shows in their songs because so much of their music affects you deeply in ways you can’t always put into words 😊

Well, this is different look-wise and stylistically. What a long and amazing and weird journey. I was drinking and singing Pretty Awkward on Mt. San Jacinto decades ago. A truly great band that, though popular to a degree, deserves WAY more recognition and appreciation. I'm hoping I don't kill myself before you make it into the Hall, but that is unlikely.
