@@alexanderloonyov4978 Well, kinda I am working on several projects right now and one of them is remake EBFD And this models I made are for this remake, but it's development on UE 4 is taking a loooot of time for me and well.. *Pros :* You get to pilot a mech across Arrakis, and lead assaults wielding the peak of Harkonnen technology. *Cons :* Thyroid cancer. *Pros :* You die in a nuclear fireball before you can get thyroid cancer.

Superb tribute to a masterpiece lost to time. Anyone fortunate enough to have experienced it knows this model is astoundingly accurate. Thank you for sharing. Audio mashup worked out nice also!
Best stationary base-defense turret in game. No enegy needed, Effecive vs all (Infanty, tanks, air). Useless without battle-carriers, becouse it's speed is too low.
I just noticed that the Devastator looks like a ram's head when viewed from the front and from above. Basically declaring its allegiance to House Harkonnen without needing any flag or symbol at all. Edit: Three legged mech makes less sense than other mech, but on Arrakis it makes sense, just like all the mech in this game. (Walk without rhythm, and you won't attract the Worm.) The one that doesn't make sense is actually Ordos hover tanks. The hover part is fine. The shield on the other hand... not so much...
Yeah, I was thinking how shields can be replaced by some other lore-friendly tech.. Because from gameplay perspective, shields are great, but from lore perspective.. not so much. At least devs made, if other laser tank shoots another they both explode :) Maybe, potential replace for shield would be some kind of.. regenerative armor, which is based on Tleilaxu tech (which can be connected with special mission on Ordos home planet, where Tleilaxu break free) and make so all Ordos ground vehicles have two types of health: regenerative armor, which acts as usual armor and frame armor, which takes more damage from any unit and doesn't regenerate over time. It’s certainly good to theorize like that, but first I need to at least build a prototype of the game to test it all :\
@@barkingdoggo6760 But on the other hand, it's probably used to explained and balanced out the faction so that Ordos can't just move his Laser Tanks army across the sand without any risk of getting eaten by Worms while the other two factions has to risk that every time they go on the offensive. As even if you tried to walk without rhythm, there's still a chance that Worm will notice you anyway. So they all have to think carefully about going on the offense equally instead of one faction don't have to worry about Worm and just charge.
All and all this vs dune 2000 Devastator are a MAJOR upgrade, air? Dead, infantry? Dead in a second, tanks? Hah whatever. Still I never thought it would be a walker
Yeah its slow, and using carryalls is kinda of pain. On the other hand, you would hardly need too many of them. That or just focus your entire GDP on making them and beeline them to the enemy base on force attack, deleting worms and anything getting in your way.

Sweeeeeet. I only wish there was a remake of the Emperor game.
Been meaning to replay this. Great atmosphere, soundtrack, etc., but My GeForce 2 MX couldn't handle it.
Or a proper remake of Dune 2

With a lot better AI too. Likr C&C General which you can let all units storm the base on their own.

I imagine the Devastator pilot looking like a Warboy from Mad Max.
It is like a Mammoth Tank with legs.
Radiation level high, but not toxic
Not great, not terrible

Same voice actor that does the Devastator is also General Ta Hun Kwai from Generals Zero Hour.

Emperor had, by far, the fugliest design of the Devastator in the series. But its arsenal was actually, well, devastating.
