The K-Pop industry just squeezes young talents into cookie cutter boxes. "You are the main dancer now. You are the main vocal now. You are the main rapper now. etc." when people are usually a lot more versatile. Someone who could go solo with a particular sound is instead squeezed into a particular role in a girl group or boy group. A lot of good talents get lost that way, or rather their talents get buried, or handicapped while being in a group.
