@@omnipossum92 Noice; was not aware the SMS got a version of Desert Strike. Still have the old Genesis cart somewhere. Did the SMS get Jungle or Urban Strike?
fun fact: Guano means "bat shit" (literally). It's where the term bat shit crazy comes from. Did you ever see Dr. Strangelove? There's a character towards the end of the movie named Col. Bat Guano (which was Kubrick's inside joke of saying this character was a nut) LMAO!!
Really enjoyed this video and showcase of Ultimate Air Combat. You were right, I never played it let alone heard of it! Great voice quality and very knowledgeable (I really don't like the view that the developers gave you though for flying). I'll enjoy checking out more videos.
Oh yeah? I’d love to see how someone else did it! In my NES Collection video I break it down, but basically they indicate if a game is 2-player coop, 4-player compatible, or a light gun game. Here’s the link: ruclips.net/video/AAwUFkHM1cc/видео.html
@@BigOleWords I think it definitely was that video that I remember it from so it was you that I was remembering haha. I couldn't remember which RUclipsr did this at first. It's a good idea I might do at some point.
@@hfield07 Haha awesome! I need to update my color coding honestly. As I've been doing a series on 2-player co-op games, I've found a ton of titles I never knew fit the criteria like NES Play Action Football!
Flight simulator style games have always held a special place for me. Most likely because I grew up on an Air Force base. And while 99% of them aren't very good, they are still fun to play from time to time. Albeit in short bursts! Lol! Nice review though! I may have to give this one a go at some point. Interestingly enough. My dad actually lives not to far from you.
It's crazy what some people can do with pixel art. Trying to get the power ups at different random altitudes before they disappear is hilarious and I can tell must be insanely frustrating lol you'd think they would have coded in a system to drag it to the plane when you're close enough to it or have it stick around a little longer. To be fair, there are tons of games that get this wrong. I'd love to work on a video with you sometime when you decide to do one for TMNT.
Yeah especially in this generation where they were still trying to simulate 3D. It's annoying, but at least we've all prepared ourselves for the worst! TMNT huh? I hadn't really thought about that game although at some point I'll probably cover Tournament Fighters! I'd love to collab!
Yes! First to like! This is officially the first time I ever got to like something first. Oh, wait, no, I just did that for a gameplay video of Gemfire. But your video prompted me to look for Gemfire in the first place! Thus, it is a wonderful day of firsts for me all thanks to you. :-) Keep'em coming and I'll like away!
Hey buddy, nice channel! Will you do a review of Asterix soon? I'm thinking of buying it but I wanna know if its a bang for the buck. I like to play my games :) Oh this comment should be places in the PAL-exclusives cathegory
I think if they took out the first person view and focused on the other mode this could have worked. Sort of looks like Desert Strike or Jungle Strike for Genesis witch had you hunt around for objectives. Much better game if you’re into these sort of titles
This was an Awesome game..Had it on the NES. Couldn't rmember the name till now.
The Isometric mode looks almost like an 8-bit Desert Strike; very cool.
Good call, that’s definitely it’s 16bit parallel!
As someone who grew up with Desert Strike on the Master System, the resemblance is there
@@omnipossum92 Noice; was not aware the SMS got a version of Desert Strike. Still have the old Genesis cart somewhere. Did the SMS get Jungle or Urban Strike?
@@thunderhammerx2966 I’m not sure tbh. I got my Master System and games as hand-me-downs from cousins
Never heard of this one like an old desert strike 👍
Exactly! A very primitive Jungle/Urban/Desert Strike for sure.
The isometric parts reminded me of desert strike. I've never heard of Cobra triangle before. I'll have to look that one up
Very much in the Desert Strike vein. Cobra Triangle rules!

Hey thanks, I appreciate it!
I think I vaguely remember renting this at Blockbuster back in the day. Top Gun II was my favorite flight sim game.
Better then TopGun 😉
That is 100% true! :)
i forgot who it was who had the color coded stickers on their collection. Was just thinking of where i saw this earlier in the week. neat idea.

Very similar to Tornado Low Level and Cyclone, two awesome games that were on 8bit Microcomputers such as the spectacular ZX Spectrum. 😎👍
I’m not familiar with those! Have you reviewed either yet?
@@BigOleWords TLL was on my A to ZX of The Spectrum the letter T 👍
That was a cool one and a lot of those games at the front look great. Gemfire? That looks killer! I'll have to look at that one deeper.
All those Koei games are really good, they just require a ton of patience and commitment, two things I have little time for unfortunately!
This actually looks kinda fun, great review 👍
It is! Kinda :). And thanks!

Although it may not matter now, this is loosely based on Aces - Iron Eagle 3 (hence where its Japanese Famicom counterpart comes in).
Cool, had no idea!
Not too big on flight simulators either. Never have been. The isometric part looks neat though.

I also found that nauseating and i was only watching, must be even more intensely nauseating to play!
Haha it's pretty intense! I was wondering how well that would come across in a video so thanks for verifying!
