I like when Alex talks himself out of a respin, its basically "Well, I didn't get a single high-tier, generically good cards out of this incredibly powerful set... but on the other hand, I did get 3 of this common card that I might use in specific archetype deck... and I only have 924 redoer tickets left so... may as well keep it cause what if I only get 2 of this common card on respin?" There really should be a change be made to the redoer ticket to somehow allow you to chose which of the two spins you decide to keep. I know its integrated into the online system and the logistics might be difficult, but it would be an amazing change, and mean that you always come out with the best of the two rolls instead of risking a downgrade. That aside, I enjoyed the episode lol. What an interesting match up.

Next season they should have super respins on the wheel that let you respin and then decide if you want to keep your original spin. Also they should have a better wheel for if you’re behind in the series.

It's purely due to the fact that it's in a sealed format rather so cards have different strengths as well as the rarities of cards making them not guaranteed means there is no point in actually trying to roll for specific things especially in high rarity. The set is still very powerful, just in this format of theirs, no one set is really all that big

Did I miss something is Metalfoes Goldriver a “Zefra” or “Tellarknight” monster; I thought Zefra pendulum effects are all only Zefra and/or the other branch (tellar, yangzing, etc.) ETA: it more than likely didn’t matter, but it would save Cimo 1900LP and not give Gage Tornado Dragon, which would give Cimo at least one more draw
I love these pile decks with splashable engines. This era of yugioh was so good for mid tier decks. Just splash Allister or zoo in anything and it's now rogue tier. My favorite was the Lightsworn/PK/brilliant fusion/rank 4 spam/BLS/fairy tail snow 60 card pile deck when grass was legal.
cimo not respinning so he doesn't have a good card pool and keep the score close to tied. We learned in season 1 that Cimo is the better player so he nerfs himself by not high rolling. Fun series.
Maybe one thing to do is to modify the redoer ticket so instead of forcing you into your new roll, you roll the set twice and then choose one of the two sets.
Game 2--Cimooo needed to grab Fluffal Bear off Dog, then use the effect of Bear to discard and set Toy Vendor straight from deck. At that point, he flips the set Toy Vendor, activates the effect to discard, send the other Toy Vendor in hand for cost and get Fluffal Wings off that effect. At that point, fuse for tiger, and then you can banish the Wings and Bear in graveyard for the Toy Vendor that is face up on the field to plus 3 and most likely give Cimooo the cards to actually play
I think I cracked the best play for Cimo first turn in G2 with no RNG from Toy Vendor or Penguin. Use meltbown to bait the Drident>activate vendor> destroy vendor with the MST search penguin> normal summon Penguin and special summon Dog>Dog search Bear >Xyz summon Exciton Kinght>wipe the board>discard bear to set vendor and hopefully destroy it alognside Gage's board again with Exciton Kinght during Gage's BP.
Shout out to season 1 macr, cimo pulled double master peace and curb stomped gage and submitted that gage couldn’t mathematically win season 1 even if he won every other match after

I remember at prog season 1 maximum crisis it was mathed out that it was literally impossible for Gage to win the series. It frankly ruined season 1 for me, so I'm glad we have a closer and more exciting environment this time around.
As someone who adores fluffals and wish they were stronger, watching cimo play horribly game two and then spend the rest of the episode shit talking the deck was painful to watch. Fluffals is not a bad deck around this time, it's just hard to play and cimo did a godawful job trying to show off the deck
im gonna say it, cimos deck this set was crazy there were some things he coulda done differently fs and maybe eek out a win but i do think he just got unlucky
Gage’s Zoodiacs are slowly becoming pretty solid now that he got Chakanine and Hammerkong on top of the other pulls he got in this episode. For Cimo’s Fluffal OTK, maybe he could’ve cut Last Will and maybe 1 Bear in order to get to 40 cards and be less prone to bricking, but it’s hard to say honestly. Getting closer to Links!
I seriously think we need to add 2 new rules either before Link comes or next season 1. You are allowed to KEEP your older pulls from re-spin ticket if you dont like your respin (just open a new window for god's sake) 2. You are allowed to use MULTIPLE re-spin per set This way, redoer ticket is actually worth something and Alex will ACTUALLY respin for these good sets. No more excuse of "what if I get something worse" and saving your redoer ticket actually has a pay off on important sets. Make it happen Alex!!
Ok, first off keeping the older pulls defeats the point of a redoer ticket, its a risk/reward situation. Second, I'm fairly sure there's no rule preventing them from using more than one redoer ticket per set in the first place, when they use them they just get rewarded or prefer not to go deeper and just save the other tickets for later sets.

I can’t help but feel as if they’re rigging this against Cimoo. Gauge somehow is almost always spinning broken slices, he gets help from hi fan base because otherwise he’d still be playing chaos and finally Cimoo threw for a entire era to even the score. Seriously I don’t know how long it’s been since Cimoo actually got something useful on the wheel.
fluffal vs pendulum. Not surprised that this happened. Pendulum is just broken in their format(Tier 1). Cimoo should be trying to play decks like igknight, pendulum toolbox, or Dinomist. Invocation is good, but only when you have the right engine to pair it up with it. Shaddoll would normally help Invocation expect Cimooo has no shaddoll fusion targets.

It's crazy to think progression series has been something I watch weekly almost 5 years now
3 years for me but same. Discovered Alex towards the end of PSS1.
I remember taking a year break when they just started up S2 and I binged watch 50ish eps in a weekend.

Cimo pulling Z-ARC now means he can very much access the Z-ARC support in AGOV, in the far future of Season 2. He should keep that in mind!

I can’t help but feel as if they’re rigging this against Cimoo. Gauge somehow is almost always spinning broken slices, he gets help from hi fan base because otherwise he’d still be playing chaos and finally Cimoo threw for a entire era to even the score. Seriously I don’t know how long it’s been since Cimoo actually got something useful on the wheel.

fluffal vs pendulum. Not surprised that this happened. Pendulum is just broken in their format(Tier 1). Cimoo should be trying to play decks like igknight, pendulum toolbox, or Dinomist. Invocation is good, but only when you have the right engine to pair it up with it. Shaddoll would normally help Invocation expect Cimooo has no shaddoll fusion targets.
It is pure agony seeing neither of them respin on this one.
