My parents after Christmas Mass went around all the relatives. I used to be puppin to get home for Top Of The Pops at 2pm.My mum used to buy our presents as the year went on.Then she could never find them by Christmas. My grandmother lived a few doors away from us.All my cousins came to her house on Christmas Eve.The craic was mighty.My cousins lived at the other side of town. They so envied my brother and i living just doors away.My grandmother was a character.🎄🎄🎄 You remind me of my grandmother sometimes.

Cath , I was 8 in 1963. . and I can remember the deep snow ,our lavvy was one of a row of 6 in the back street and me Mam paid me 6d to shovel the snow from the back door of our house to the lavvys 15 feet from the house. A couple of years before that, When I was 6 and me brother was about 6 months old me Mam put him in the pram outside the back door to give him some fresh air I took the brake off the pram and watched it wheel down the path with me Mam chasing after it . God did my arse sting after me Mam had belted me with me Dad's old belt .😭🤣

I remember my mum and dad going to a neighbour’s Christmas Eve for a bevy. My brother and me got up Christmas morning…nothing under the tree 😂they were still at the neighbours!!! Your Christmas stories remind of spending my childhood with my grandmother my dad was one of nine so it was a full house back then and my parent's got engaged on Christmas eve my mum had a few and picked up A branch of a christmas tree and gave to my grandmother hear mum i got you a christmas tree she laugh three month later they got married and there marriage lasted over fifty years memories
Families use to celebrate holidays and birthdays and such , I guess not anymore huh , most of our family lives in a place called Sanford , Maine and you should think that we are part of that family, but beginning to wonder nanny and thank you for sharing such wonderful memories with family and friends we love you and please keep them coming ❤😂

My memorys of Christmas day is having the sock on the end of the bed a orange a few nuts and some old pennies I remembered my brother my parents got me a cot for a doll my brother done no more than climbed in and peed in it lol x
😂😂😂my Step grandmother thought Christmas was for little girls....... Soooo she gave my brother a shirt and when he unwrapped the present the shirt had one shirt sleeve and the other long and it never phased her and my brother was so sad and of course my Mom smoothed it all over.........the memories we have !!!!!! My Mom passed away 3 years ago , 96 years old , birthday was Christmas Eve ! I had everything material wise as a child and teen but now i am "bypassed" and "overlooked" estranged from the adoptive and bio famiLIES(the bio lot I CHOSE to have nothing to do with!) Long story! But consideing I ALWAYS considered the adoptive parents as my actual n only parents thry both cruelly dropped me like a hot spud for their precious blue eyed boy wonder grandson who has been violent towards them in the past n is a right brat! Here one for you skelly. My mum's mum kept a few chickens in there back yard. My mum noticed one day that the hens kept pecking the head of this poor chicken.after observing the situation for a while.my mum decided to take care of this hen pecked chuck She found a whole in its head. My grandad by the way had been filling some bricks with concrete earlier that day. So My mum had a bright idea! And filled the chucks head with a bit of cement? Thinking she was helping the chuck . Hrs later mum went to check on chuck who was not looking right? Chuck was walking scout but his head was hanging low? The poor chuck couldn't hold its head up because of the weight of the concrete had set solid 😂 Unfortunately chuck had to go in the oven minus concrete head 😂😂
😂 I remember one Christmas 🎄 party we played a game where you have a plate of flour with a coin in it you would have to put your face in the flour and pick up the coin with your teeth, any way someone farted , as my dad put his face in the flour, he said ' this bloody flour is stinking ' " 😂 as the person who farted was stood by my dad we were all crying with laughter 😂at my dad thinking the flour had gone off 😂😂😂

I remember mi mam throwing us club book ya all got £20 each seemed like thousands back then took her all year to pay it back ! My mom got blindo she was puking all over me and brother fetched ambulance to her when paramedics come we took em upstairs mi dad was in bed with her trying to make her sign family allowance book so he could get money out then he fell out of bed wi no pants on it was like a carry on film
I always had a good Christmas TILL one year I guess I was 11 or 12 and my older sister told my mom ya know mom Juanita is too old for baby dolls or any dolls (l loved dolls especially my favorite Betsy wet sy doll my sister poked a big hole in her butt whe anre she would wet and her insides rotted ugh )anyway she told my mom get her BOOKS..... puzzles a globe can you believe that pure evil I tell ya well worst Christmas ever never forgave my sister to this day 😅😅😅😅😅😅
