  • This is the Eternal Colossus Mech Chassis Steam workshop blueprint for Space Engineers! A cool giant Mech that's fully functional! It walks, it moves its arms, wrists, shoulders, elbows and even has a large interior to walk around in! I go over this mechs looks and features, show off the arms movements, the walking setup then show the sheer size of this massive creation compared to the little engineers!

    #SpaceEngineers is a sandbox game about engineering, constructing, and maintaining creations in space. Players can build and pilot space ships, construct massive space stations, and mine asteroids for raw materials utilizing a realistic volumetric-based physics engine. All objects can be assembled, disassembled, repaired, damaged, and destroyed in this space-based freeroam RPG #videogame

    No DLC, no mods, has internals, movable and can even walks makes this build super impressive of how smooth the design is!

    Thanks for the review, always appreciate it! A couple quick notes:
    You don't have to worry about switching to the left control seat to control the arms, you can do that from the main seat too! The other seats are mostly in case you want a copilot to control the arms or if your main seat gets destroyed
    Yeah I would recommend turning off voxel damage since heavy feet, but you can turn block damage on and it still works great without breaking itself (usually)
    The first button of the 3rd toolbar is an easy toggle for the mech's auto walk, which is needed for the AI to move it
    Enjoy!

      how long did this take to make?

    • @eternalcolossus3809
      @eternalcolossus3809 9 месяцев назад

      @@ecogent total time from start to finish, maybe 2 weeks. Most of that was only playing for 1-2 hours a day though, so maybe 28 hours total.

      IMO, the giant superheavy mech leaving massive footprints where its feet carve out the ground is very on-brand.

    My God.
    It needs a sound block that kicks off Iron Giant voice lines.

    Very impressive. I'm wondering if the maker is thinking of doing a Godzilla mech? Getting Ape vibes from that thing.

    2 things, they should add a rubber block that can be used to dampen and stop larger creations like this from being able to destory terrain with its feet as well as add reinforced versions of all blocks that cannot be hurt by anything on the same grid so if 2 beams on the same grid slammed into eachother than they wouldnt blow up and these blocks would be tougher than heavy armor while as like as light armor BUT they would be ridiculously costly.

    I wonder if adding a few grav gens in the legs might be able to fix the voxel damage/block damage? 🤔

    • @maelglorious
      @maelglorious Год назад +4

      Not really functional in a gravity well, but padding the feet in small wheels pointed pown, like how hovercraft work, might exploit the game engine to soften the impact and also mitigate voxel damage is the walk speed is slow enough.

    • @eternalcolossus3809
      @eternalcolossus3809 Год назад +3

      Right. Sadly grav gens won't change the voxel damage to the feet, unless you're in space I suppose. I definitely could add wheels upside down on the feet and that would remove some damage, but I've found that a mech this heavy usually just clangs those wheels off of their suspensions when they hit the ground. Just need Keen to add plate-shaped foot pads for mechs someday.

    • @scribblerstudios9895
      @scribblerstudios9895 Год назад +3

      So small wheels acting as foot pads? Someone more skilled in Klang-fu could probably take that, some of the systems in the mech, and design like a locust perhaps from mech warriors. Though the problem then would be not enough armor to speed... so maybe somethin closer to like a kit fox maybe idk? Medium class max. So around 60-65 iirc "ton" max size. I however am a dummy in Klang fu so I shall leave that to the experts

    Know what would be badass? If inside the arms the hands were fitting with merge blocks, hydrogen tanks and a bunch of thrusters. Give the thing a friggin rocket punch.
