In a high technology video suddenly appears this 1950 fire jacket ....1:43
Daniel Pardo lol i had a surplus jacket when i was a young cadet.... i moved and never did firefighting again.
Daniel Pardo I
shitty story
I’m a fan of the innovation of this video, this is the kind of stuff that the fire service needs. People commenting “keep firefighting the way it is” NO! That kind of thinking is why 100 firefighters die every year in the US, because there aren’t any new innovations like these.
Agreed
Mike Karafa Then you have no idea what your talking about
All comes down to the results.
The HUD on the helmets would be really nice
We have trouble getting funding for the pure essentials. I cant see a city ever giving us this. This would help save lives, but thats not what cities are interested in.
Love these 1950’s bunker gear with the stolen European helmet look so much funny stuff in this
"Max's heart rate just went WAY up . . .. Oh, wait . . . . I see . . . Never mind . . . He just passed the female firefighter again."
GOD DAMIT MAX!!
hes gonna get bullied at the station for that one.
Note: Stealing European Fire Helmet Designs aren't really the "future", Instead you just stole a similar design to European Fire Helmets with 1950s jackets.
yes we will recreate better bunker gear with 1950s jackets for the cool vibes
No way that undershirt's NFPA compliant. Things basically an under armour shirt.
Camden Ramsey the NFPA standard for tshirt is stupid anyhow when it comes to structural firefighting. If it's hot enough for a synthetic shirt to melt under my turnout gear I got more problems than the burns from the melting shirt.
100% cotton my rear end
Traildog Adventures agreed
So basically your station shirt is going to be almost as expensive as your fire coat
Very interesting but I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable relying on that much technology. Offers the temptation to complacency and when that technology fails what would happen?
King Dudley to be able to use any kind of gear, u need understanding. They should give them Iron Man costumes!
King Dudley technology makes our lives easier. Take traffic lights for example, it's operated by a computer. Small glitch could make a catastrophic accident. Yet we rely on it, when we're driving.
If you think about it, think about how much your life is heavily influenced by technological innovation. Fire departments around the world already lack with advances in terms of on-scene communication with incident commanders. Having this type of technology brought one at a time to a fire department can be life changing and even time saving when it comes to preventing loss of life within the public. Take, for example, a person who in unconscious in a burning building, wouldn't you want the firefighter to be able to use thermal imaging to detect body signatures so that is easy to save you, compared to the traditional move and search technique. It is the time we move onto developing technology and compatibility within fire departments everywhere, especially in urban cities.
Joseph Jay Quintero That's why there's things called TICs or Thermal Imaging Cameras we have that technology we don't move and search anymore you use a TIC which are now being built into to are Face Mask also implementing too much technology into something is a problem what they do is take what they have been using for years and update it to today what they what to do to the gear in not completely against but no one factors in expense this would cost Departments millions with all this technology is too outlandish and isn't thought through enough
Sa Dude I still move and search because a TIC only gives you the topography in temperature of what you're looking at. I've had plenty of TICs randomly die on me which makes me look at them as a tool not a necessity. That being said, I do agree with you.
Wow that cool the masking and stuff is pretty clean
Wow!!! It's great!
I will for sure love this gear
This is awesome
Interesting. I would assume that indicating what areas have been searched would also be a thing. The bread crumbing for primary exit was nice. The commander being able to provide additional routes was cool. I'm surprised that the commander didn't once switch to 1st person view.
Ironically, those fire fighters at the end would be better served if only they could keep their SCBAs on while switching air supply so they didn't have to breath the carcinogens before getting decontaminated.
How can I order the helmet with the same breathing apparatus model as this video showed
Excelente recursos tecnológicos, que levarão anos pra chegar ao Brasil.
if ur stuck in a room I don't think it would just be as easy to place bread crumbs to an emergency exit door...
so the fire fighters will look like the pilots on a black hawk
Okay a few things are helpful. But i don't want to look like a space ninja turtle from halo.
J'Mar Michael Joyce I agree
You look good in an open casket to. If looking like a ninja is safer. T h an be a F-ing ninja. A lot of dead FF's putting tradition before technology.
Yes will it protects you from shrapnel and old fire helmets dissent protect your neck but now they do
Really love my grand father's old morning pride coat thers
アメリカの技術は進んでるな。
4:07 FAAAHH differently.....gotta love the Boston accent
CharlieRedLeg It's wicked
Very interesting
I don't see this happening lol
I like all of this just do not touch fire trucks keep on the way that they are a truck not a robot with wheels
That's the worst CGI ever and what's up with the old ass turn out gear (Fire Jacket)
What am I watching Backdraft
Dakota Ravenheart It's Backdraft, but without any budget. Like it was produced by SyFy.
And this is all gonna be done in the next 15 years? Some departments that are Carey small barely get enough funds to get newer trucks
If firefighters need to keep track of their fitness and heart rate, just get a fit bit
What trailer is this for?
I'm hopeful that you make video of Technology Heath Future 😁👌☺️😉
Looks like a great video game not a good firefighting tool though and also how would they get the funding for this
Yeah, its cool and all but I'll take a leather Houston helmet any day over that contraption.
You will use what your Boss is told you to wear.
Nice concept but the turnout gear looks real old
This is all fantastic! But obviously going to take quite a great deal of time before it all happens. 20 year's at least.... Just my guess. All for it tho!
Why is there radiation at a residential structure fire? And how is that 1950's turnout gear going to protect from it?
I like stuff we have today
Is this really what the homaland security is really thinking of?
I would like it if they kept the classic firefighter helmet look.
Low tec is how my Dept works and it is safe
Only because you haven't been high tech...gotta say that's an ignorant comment. Not dumb mind you. Ignorant. You deserve to have the best equipment, training and supervisors.. If you don't tell your family to save the wrongful death lawsuit. You choose to work in Low-tech willfully.
Plus that shirt would make you look so much more buff, LOL
It’s just making the job not as fun
Yeah this would be nice, now all we need is somebody to pay for it..
Plus, if it gets to easy and hightech..Then all the fun is taken out of it..
Plus when the systems fails the boots on the ground are fucked..
Then its better to rely on good old firefighting..
so you telling me we will be going back the the long coats from the 80s
You know I kinda like the 80s coats from like backdraft
Cool, but firefighters are losing there health insurance , so I doubt they will pay for this.
Ur not sly, I see that dye paintball padded jersey
Sorry some of this technology will never happen in the fire service like the guy looking at the tablet and the tablet showing a block staircase the only way that can happen is if a firefighter Sees it and tells command and there's no technology that's going to tell you the condition of the building if going to collapse or the condition of the fire unless a firefighter can see it and report it back to command.
New construction has all kinds of sensors and video surveillance. They are suggesting the fire department can plug into the building system for data. They are already doing it...old buildings probably not. New ones definitely.
I can’t get my Bluetooth to hook up to my car stereo. And I’m a millennial. No thanks, I’ll rely on training before technology.
I’d rather keep things the way they are. Introducing a whole new system will cost more than most departments can afford and even then what will they do with old gear.
Who cares what they do with the old gear...what's your life worth?
This technology is all well and good. But for departments and fire brigades it comes down to cost. If their budgets are squeezed this stuff will not be bought. There is tech available now and equipment that makes the job easier but is not adopted because of cost. So in the future unless your department has an endless pot of money, this stuff will not see the light of day.
It's very simple you have to federalize the fire department just like the military. The fire service is way to top heavy..think if you got rid of 90% of admin and put ff's back on the rigs. You do that you will have plenty of money for innovation. It's easy...
Helicopter-Governmenting
Only thing that gets me is the light weight material. It could make it easier for the toxins to get and absorb on your skin that much easier. Take Boston FD for example, right now if I remember in 2016 study (2 years ago I know) Boston had the highest carcinogen cancer rate in the US. You can attribute it to no in house cleaning procedures but it could also be that our gear is getting lighter. Our hood is a perfect example. Our hoods are light weight and more studies shown your neck and face absorb the most. Now I am just a volunteer and paid guys do this for a living but we are all brothers and sisters of the red line and should look out for each other. This video is great but what about the cancer rate associated to our profession
Seems expensive
Hmmmm..... Wouldn't a temp mitigation vest be more useful than bullet and stab proof? The fk
They should stick to the cairns helmets
Leather for life
Graeme Ceballos
This is a prime example of Globalization! Every fire department in Europe has the exact same helmet!
Vartilak Novehestum thats BULLSHIT in Germany alone there are Helmets from Schuberth Rosenbauer MSA calisia casto....
Keep the turnout gear the same as it always has been
Graeme Ceballos it's never been the same, its an ever changing piece of equipment updated with newer, better and safer technologies...
Turnout gear changes every year its never the same
Graeme Ceballos yes
If only their were more technology on 9/11
The helmet is a technical masterpiece but it still doesnt have a good microphone...
YOU STOLE IT AND SAID YOU ARE THE FIRST TO MAKE THOSE HELMATS
@@Zackislivid what
@@gerogegerog5926 Sorry i was 12 and a r*tard lol
@@Zackislivid understandable we were all idiots once
so seal my ideas i will sue boston ma lawyers
We invest so much money in our war machine the military. I think we should invest more budget into firefighting technologies so I am all up for it. A lot of this tech won't be usable though, unless you outfit every house with high-tech pressure sensors that will tell command if a structure is about to come down.
Cringe
I hope we dont look that stupid
Kiij
Nice to dream I guess. But how much does this COST??? Everyone knows taxpayers don't want to fund their fire dept as it is. Here in Milwaukee, our useless mayor just closed SIX more firehouses. fox6now.com/2017/12/18/this-is-a-sad-day-6-fire-stations-across-milwaukee-close-after-budget-cuts/ And hardly a eye blink from the populace affected. I REALLY doubt any taxpayer would be interested in this or any real meaningful fire technology. Fire safety is just not on the taxpayers radar.
25mfd
It seems to me, that everyone's interested in providing funds for illegal aliens and illegal alien children that came here or was brought here as a very young child by illegal alien parents.
You can't win for losing.
25mfd I'm from the Milwaukee area. When I heard 6 houses were being shuttered, I was pissed. They MFD doesn't service my area, but 6 houses down is a stupid idea. But hey, we're gonna have a trolley that doesn't go anywhere. Maybe they could just hook up some nozzles to that and have it fight fires...
Firefighting needs to stay how it is, how it is now is so cool and so interesting
Oh come on they stole the Europe fire helmet
Those helmets are so ugly
Graeme Ceballos I agree 😂😂😂👍
This is a little too much over the top...of course at the expense of taxpayers and firefighters.
Future firefighters will come down with cancer 3 times as fast owing to all the microwave transmissions near their body.
Nonsense
Bro leather forever
Bullshit, it's too expensiv and all of this is done naturlly when you train it.
"In the alhpa delta corner" stupidest thing ivw ever heard
Each side of the building is labeled with a letter. A, B, C, D. We say it phonetically over the radio to avoid any confusion, so instead of A, B, C, D, we say Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta. To be fair that guy’s a pretty bad actor so it sounded pretty dumb
ders a snake in me boot why? That’s pretty standard firefighting unless I missed something?
Irish_ Soldier124 alpha delta means ad
ders a snake in me boot So wouldn't that mean A, D corner? Meaning the corner where A & D meet???
Makes sense honesty I forgot but yeah he was a pretty bad actor they all were
Interesting but very poorly made 😂😂😂
This is awesome
