The fact that Jack's bean stalk is part of your kingdom is really pushing me to buy this game lol. Plus I love banished-type games more than is healthy for me
It’s nowhere near banished-like though. There’s no fail state at all. I loved the demo, but it’s just too damn easy.
A fun drink game : take one sip every time splatter say "and things of that nature"
A wildly dangerous drinking game: Take a drink everytime Splat misses something painfully obvious.
Oops, Splat didn't build a new fisherman's hut. He got enough fish, but the quest wanted him to build a new hut for some reason.
Yeah, I had to rewind to see wtf went on there 😂 I didn't notice the Fisherman Hut objective either.
Tbf I hate when games have a "buid something you already have and don't actually need" as a mission objective and NOT go "ahh, I see you did that already" and give it a pass.
@@MoA-Reload... Yeah, especially when they are repeating quests so you end up with 20 fishing huts because tearing them down is too much of a hassle.
As soon as he took the quest, I knew he didn't read it and wouldn't build the hut.
Splat: "I had a big problem with my wood"
Me:🤓
Splat: "Yea go ahead an clip that and tell it to the entire kingdom"
If your mill is too far, you can empty the workers and move it. The move is instant and it doesn't lose what's stored in it. Great feature.
Thank you Daddy Miller
@@MrAgmoore You can actually do that to almost all buildings. I moved around all my farms during the winter.
Played it for a while now in ver. 1.0
It definitely has its charm for sure. But the game is a little buggy.
It crashes on occasion whenever you have another app on in the background.
Whether it's a music player, internet browser, or any video player, 90% chance your game will crash.
Loading takes a little while longer than expected, but nothing too annoying.
Could use a little more hands-on management though as you have little to no control over which peasant/commoner goes to which job.
I have three villages. All with at least 15 huts. One near my massive farms, another near my industry. I try to put all my workshops in one area so they
won't spread their negativity around. It's a peaceful game, and i married Farrah as soon as i could. Out of all the Princesses, she's definitely the most adorable.
After that... it's pretty much expansion, reaction to missions, and resource management. A good time sinker for its price. Will give you about 20 hours of content.
7/10, can recommend for peaceful sim builders.
Solid review, thank you.
And yet I have never had a single crash and always have other apps open on my other monitors. Often more than one.
Damn this is the fastest ive ever been to a splatter vid. Looks a great game!
Hi Splatt! Thanks for the great videos.
Splat isn't playing what would surely be his new most favorite game, the ultimate souls-like and rogue-like, Little Kitty Big City!
@9:00 you had the fish but you also required a building too for the quest.
I just checked the wiki cause everyone starved, peasants and commoners and nobles dont all eat the same foods so having a ui update to denote peasant only food would be helpful
I'm actually sold on the idea of a partial AFK type game like this where you basically can't lose and have and "afk" game while working you can tinker with throughout the day... kind of like those old desktop pet games that allowed you to beat an animal and decompress after receiving a passive aggressive email.
This looks like it could really do with stealing the little worker assignment window from Banished; that made handling workers super handy; while also letting you manually adjust the maximum number of workers a given building will employ if you need to spread them around within a given job category.
Hey man I have watched you reviewing and playing since the long dark series. I hope you get the 1M sub button soon! Sincerely, Kim.
You caught the fish, but you forgot to build the fisherman's hut xD.
Seems like a very nice game. Thanks for showing it
No, mr.Splatterkatt, you do not go to hospitals to die, if I am not missTAKEN.
Picked this game up yesterday/ Been having a lot of fun with it.
It's 2024. Warcraft style has just been called CHARMING.
Definitely agree with the quest issues and production problems.
"What is Fabledom?"
Well, it's definitely not what I THOUGHT it was going to be. I was thinking - for some reason - this was going to be to Fable what Final Fantasy Tactics, Advance, & Advance II were to the main Final Fantasy game line.
I bought this before when you played it. Love its out in 1.0. Bought it for my roommate and now he's mad at me cause he keeps playing it. 😆
I noticed this just yesterday and was wondering if you might cover it.
Anno 1800 spoiled me and I crave but cannot satisfy much on the same level, but this looks like a good one off game
Hi - Love your videos ... really helpful ... I'm now playing Fabledom ... but how do you build bridges?
I sent my hero into the arena, the first wave was easy. The second wave killed him, lol. Anyway, it looks like you put a lot into your town. Looks great. Good vid.
Wanna know what happens when you beat all 7 waves? I can say its worth it
@@NeroTheAngel One would say your victory in the arena is not set in stone, but...
@@petroandras hehe yeah man :D
Looks so good! You should do a series ^^
Regenerator actually made me want to buy this game.
Hey Splatt you should look at a game called vintage story, it looks alot like minecraft but thats where the similarities end... its more of a hardcore survival game
Seems its time to do another playthrough and see what content has to offer. Last time I built and dabbled on all there was. Its a fun game.
You failed the fishy quest because you didn't read the quest requirements. You made the fish requirement easily, but you didn't build a fishing hut. Looks like a great little game, might be worth it at a mild price reduction.
Thanks, Splatt.
Beautiful game!
Bought the game when it hits 1.0 really good game
Thanks
I think the reason why you failed the fishing quest is because you did not build a fishing hut. The quest asked you to build a new one, it did not account what you had already built.
thats the same dragon from kingdoms and castles
Hey I have a question for people who follow Splatt on twitch
I love his twitch content, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of it. He says he streams a lot, but it looks like 2 days a week.
Is that what he does, or does he not create VODs? Or does twitch screw up him having VODs? I don't get home from work til after he is done streaming, so it is incredibly rare to catch him live
Thank you
Nope, everything's there. I'm not quite sure what he's talking about. I check the discord because that's where he pings whenever he starts streaming and it checks out with the vods. Dunno what else to tell you.
@@Awootistic it's fine if that's how it is, just making sure I'm not missing out
You are gonna just ignore the giant
The cylops? He mentioned it.
> Splatty, "I had a big problem with my wood."
Preserved for the sake of posterity.
Why is 'ducks in a row' better than ducks in a group? The group is cuter.
Feather-pile vs feather boa.
Does know if it always has a bluish haze/fogginess to it? It looks cool but haze is annoying me just watching this.
you got the guy that makes people happy. but could you make a cooler that calm violence down?
How could you not put the lighthouse on the peninsula?
Yo splatter, bro you gotta check out Mullet Mad Jack man. Its like someone slapped my face with cocaine powder and forced me to drink a pack of redbull
🖤
Somehow I feels like mt PC are working bit harder to run this game.
it was so poorly optimized the few times ive tried to play it. i hope thats been fixed cause its right up my alley!
🙂👍
I'm early, wow
9:41 u didnt build any new fisher hut my dude , the fish enuff but other requirement you didnt do it
75000 of city builders - exist.
Fabledome developers: guys. what abou to make another city builder but worse then other with 2010 mobile game graphics . Bet we will be millionaires.😅
The graphics effect really hurts the eyes... its so washed out.
not liking that art syle as it looks like its got some filter on it that makes it look awful
early gang
bro fell off gang
PLEASE record in higher resolution 😣😣
Higher than 1080?
Splatter, you forgot your description. Missing the link to the game, etc.
Reminds me of against the storm in chill city builder but not quite as fun
What a nice hero to help you with your wood problem.
The attachments that are not food related increase the homestead’s desirability. You can control what they build in the homestead’s tabs when you place it. Destroy what you don’t want and replace it.
You can control how close the workers live to their home by firing and rehiring (annoying but works). The dots indicate how close they live.
I played this game early in the early access and it had some issues. Pacing was too slow, the hero would get stuck on trees and require the tree to be cut down to free him, it was easy to get into a nobility currency death spiral with the events that popped up, and maintaining happiness was difficult. Now that it is at v1.0 I'm going to try it again. Before it had needed more time in the oven.
they better let players turn off the goddam chromatic aberration... what's wrong with game devs that add that BS
