Oh I'm so glad that the naming of birds/species is appreciated! I also dread the day that I get one wrong and no doubt hear about it endlessly 😅 But it's nice to cover a bit more about the world around us as we travel though it.
He certainly is (might be a bit biased though 😄). Time for a silicone ring instead! And thank you for watching, very excited to show Dominica - it's a truly spectacular island.
I enjoy your videos. You will be found and many more subscribers will come your way. I cruised for 20 years and had the experiences you are having. I live in the Rocky Mountains in Montana, but I still miss living on the water. I will be selling my home this next year and move back onto a sailboat. Take care Ernest
@buffalohouse4740 thank you so much! Life aboard is always an adventure, although the Rocky Mountains must be amazing too in their own different (and less watery) way. Best of luck with the house selling and finding a boat to keep you comfortable and safe!
I love these sailing videos . I also love cooking channels but not as much as sailing videos . I notice that none of you guys show us what you're cooking . It would add some " flavour" .
I think we did a little bit on cooking with TVP onboard in our last Martinique episode 😊 We aren't in real-time with the videos (although working hard to catch up) but will make a conscious effort to film a few foodie bits onboard in the meantime for when we do!
Note: When sailing during the day, always use Repeater number 2, it indicates that there are two crew members. When you are at anchor, use the black sphere hoisted on the port spreader. Always use an Anchor Retrieving System when anchoring and if the buoy is as YELLOW as possible it is BETTER. Indicates isolated danger. West Marine Store HAS IT is simple and effective.
We always put our anchorball up, even if nobody else does 😄 We aren't sure why so many people don't, perhaps they're more relaxed than us, but we feel that it's best practice to do so and will continue to do it. Thanks for watching again!
We would love some better fishing gear 🤣 Unfortunately any pennies we scramble together these days always seem to need to go towards more urgent maintenance/the next thing about to break. Maybe we will find a good one secondhand somewhere!
Ugh, I bet that Tony's stomach must have felt as though it plummeted into the depths right along with his ring. Mine sure would have! Try not to torture him over it _too_ much, Bryony; although I don't believe that the occasional jab would be unwarranted. Sorry, Tony! 😉
@SeekerKC he later said "I watched it bounce a few times on the deck, I just couldn't reach it" 🤣 He has been forgiven, although may be subject to the odd "butterfingers" joke.
I’ve just become a subscriber. I admire the way you take the trouble to name the birds and other species.
Most channels can’t be bothered.

What a lucky lad! But unlucky for losing the ring! Fab video again. So motivational.

Enjoying this channel and your travels. Really enjoyed an insight into your starting process from buoy - safe travels!
Thank you! We often find we skip discussing the "little bits," so we will make more of an effort to do so going forward.
wow sailor, great epesode
Thanks, it was (mostly) good sailing!
Great stuff you guys.
Thank you! It was a fun one.

Look amazing
It's a beautiful island for sure! It only gets better.
So sad about the wedding ring :( but the place looks beautiful at least.
It was disappointing but a lesson learned, and oh its a beautiful island indeed! A firm favourite so far.

My husband lost his wedding ring off the boat but take heart did not end in divorce and it's 25 happy years later!!
I'll reassure Tony that divorce is being taken back off the table 😄 He has ordered a new one now which is good, and a silicone one!
subbed. Glad to be here!
We are glad to have you aboard, welcome! ⚓️
Comment for algo
Always appreciated, thank you ⚓️
Whisk?
@galleryhad7747 if he'd dropped the whisk overboard, it would have been the better option 😄
