If you hadn't posted this tutorial, I have no idea how I would have sorted my kit out. I just flipped the scant manual back and forth in a state of confusion over and over getting nowhere fast! You presented your method in such a user-friendly and clear way with no fuss and technical fuss. I also really appreciate your honesty in not knowing precisely what to do with the extender portion. Because of that, I at least no not to mess around with that part unnecessarily. Altogether, a fantastic solution/tutorial which I really appreciate. Thank you very very much!! 🙂
I highly recommend this company to use their QR code that they send in the package to go directly to this tutorial. The instructions provided were terrible at best. Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Thank you! After about an hour messing around feeling like I was going to break something, I got set up in five minutes thanks to your explanation. Hope you're having a great day!
I really enjoyed the video and it's right to the point. I had a bit of difficulty attaching my soft box but this video solved the problem for me quickly. Btw, keeping your dog in the video was a wonderful, unexpected treat. The noise from the squeak toy gave me a good laugh. Brilliant!
Still happy with it (Me on another account). Pros are definitely price and functionality, only con is I wish it was high material qualities... But obviously that is going to affect the price. It's not bright enough for outdoor photography, but indoor and dawn/dusk/night applications are fine, as long as you bought batteries for them.
@@lobozlato11tj Thanks for your reply! what do mean saying "not bright enought for outdoor photography"? Is this meant regarding "against sunlight on a sunny day" or are there even problems when using them outside at night for photography and even lightning and low ISO?
Hey! I just used this tutorial to set up my lights. I don't have a battery so just planning on using them plugged in. But I noticed a little battery graphic on the top left corner of the screen. Does that drain even when it's plugged in to a power source? Will they not turn on if that battery drains?
Thanks for the video. I was wondering: Once you install the rods, do you have to install them each time you used them? Or could you easily fold them up and store the soft boxes with the rods in place?
I will look the box over again but there were no instructions whatsoever on how to attach this lightbox. I tried for 40 minutes to figure this out as it's not a standard bowen's mount. There's no loops to help keep the rods in place. These lights aren't as bright as a regular AC powered continuous light. If you rarely use the batteries, you will hate this. You really need to use the batteries a lot to justify this and even then, the design of the softbox and gels are just plain dumb. It comes with three different colored pieces of plastic, red, blue and yellow but not green. Also, you can't use regular gels with it. As far as the light stands, it has lots of plastic and thin aluminum rivets that will pop. it could have had an adapter you could have screwed quickly onto the light and then popped on the stand but it was cheaper for them to rivet it onto the stand that you will hate. It is so time consuming this way.
It makes no sense just how difficult it is to set this up. I am disappointed because this kit is so great otherwise! Unfortunately I don't have the space to leave these assembled all the time and having such a tedious setup process is a major point of friction in being able to quickly set this up and shoot videos. Before this I had bought another, slightly cheaper Neewer kit that I ended up returning because it wasn't dimmable, but the shade came in an umbrella-like setup where the rods are pre-attached and you just extend the whole thing, takes 2 seconds. Why would they make this one such a pain to assemble instead of using that same easy setup system. Sorry just ranting.
Never would have managed without this video- thanks 🙏🏻
you're welcome!
Want to say a HUGE THANK YOU!.
You made this very easy and efficient.

Thank you. I almost gave up. You explained everything perfectly.
Super helpful! Made a mistake by going to the wrong hole at first and then wondered why it doesn't fit
I wish I would've got a better angle, I definitely could've been more clear about that. I'm glad you figured it out!

Thank you! This helped a lot!
glad to help (:
So helpful. My lights arrived today without any instructions and I was afraid I was breaking them trying to put them together.
Thank you for doing what these lazy manufacturers didnt do.
And how satisfied are you after almost a year of using it? pros? cons? bright enought for photography? etc

@@LifestylerAUT my apologies for the late reply. I mean with sunny conditions. They will work for anything darker than cloudy conditions
Thank you. Do they make some noises while working or have a fan?

there is no internal battery, once it is plugged in, it will always be good to go

Does it flicker while shooting on 120 fps ?
Tested it for you, and I got no flickering. I testing it at max and lowest brightness as well as highest and lowest temperatures. no problems at all.
Is the cooling fan loud?
Have yet to even hear it.
