The colour doesn’t matter as much as the finish. Flat finish paint is important because it will prevent the signal from scattering or refracting all over the place. The flat finish lets the parabolic shape of the dish do its job of reflecting the signal into the LNB. Thanks for the comments and for watching!
My satellite dish is 25 years old and it does have rusting in the center part of the dish so I was trying to find the best way to restore it without having to buy a new one

which two positions are these dishes pointed at?
At the time of filming the elliptical dish was pointed at 125 West KU, and the round dish is positioned at 87 West KU.
Also useful as a super laser if you are building a Death Star
