I love this vacuum. Use it daily as a domestic cleaner, fits in my car really well folded over and the cable means I don't have to worry about carrying multiple batteries. The play at the top of the wand hasn't caused any issues, been using mine for nearly 2yrs and its never broken or got any worse 🙌

For us, it is a hands down - the best vacuum cleaner for pet owner. Powerful suction and easy to use design. Each part is easy to clean and to replace, if needed. This device made such a difference to our lives.

I actually bought this because it has a cord. I have one with a battery that I bought for a similar price, but it is way too weak. I like stick vacuum cleaners and I don't mind the cord. I dislike traditional vacuum cleaners. The only positive thing about those is the suction power. Now I have a stick vacuum with the same suction power. Best of both worlds.

Bought the Shark as a lighter second hoover as my legacy Panasonic upright 2000w is a monster (fantastic suction but too heavy for my many, many stairs). Love the maneuverability of the Shark. Moving from 2000w to 450w is, at the end of the day, going to be down to the frequency of use, and the fact is that I'm happy to use the Shark daily.

I've owned the DuoClean corded for around 3 years now.
I might just be the lucky owner who has had no mechanical/electrical problems.
I live in a shared house so the Shark is heavily used.
When I first bought this vacuum cleaner, yes it did feel strange to operate,
For some unknown reasons my one does not flex as shown in this video, in fact it is a bit on the tight side.
I have a small electric meter/ utility cupboard under my stairs and the folded Shark fits nicely,,,,, the Hetty is too big and round.
Once you have used the Shark for a while,,, click click and plug it in for easy use, filters are easy to change or clean, I do my filters and rollers every couple of weeks.

I have this shark model at my holiday home and it's the best vac I have ever owned and I've owned several top models. The long cord allows you to clean the whole caravan in one go, instead of always being aware of charge time left. The hair separates from the dust so easy to empty. storage is great as it takes up hardly any room. suction is great too, what more could I ask for. I've just ordered a second one for my house. Can't recommend enough! :)

Not impressed by any Shark I've seen so far this week. They clean fine at first but really have barely any dirt separation - I bet those filters will be absolutely filthy by the end of the month. And most people don't bother cleaning them anyway...
Also not a fan of the noise, they've all been piercingly high-pitched so far. And have seen lots of horror stories about the Duoclean heads getting gummed up with hair behind the soft roller or breaking irreparably from a small bash against furniture or a door frame. And why do the brushrolls cover such a narrow path compared to the head?
Cheaply made vacuums that perform well the first time when the filters are new, giving buyers the illusion that they're cleaning brilliantly all the time. Shame really, as their steam mops are excellent.

The Dyson Detect cordless has a much higher pitch motor but, softer tone since it's a brushless motor with a rotor that floats on a very low friction bearing. I much prefer the sound of a Miele C1 over either of the Shark stick vac or the Dyson cordless though.

So I have the USA version of this vacuum, and they changed the post motor filter to not be able to accept a hHEPA filter, which incidentally came with my replacement filter pack I ordered off Amazon. HZ2002 is it's model number. I think the vacuum is perfect for my needs, but really wish they hadn't changed the housing as it appears identical besides the the HEPA filter. It only uses another thin cloth filter in that location.
All that said, I haven't noticed it spitting out any dust as I clean, so maybe the additional HEPA filter isn't actually required. Seems great anyway. I vacuum a tiny house daily and it manages to get a fist full of dust and cat hair every day (mostly cat hair). Works great for me.

I would use a shark cordless upright vacuum for when I didn’t need a deep cleaning but I wanted a long cleaning. I would use a shark corded stick when I want to do deep cleaning but that deep cleaning does not have to be long. Then a cordless stick would be used for when I just wanted a supplemental cleaning or like say when I spilled Ramen noodles on the floor 2 days ago. And obviously a corded upright would be used for a long deep cleaning. And I would use a corded canister for cleaning the car, and it would be interesting if shark made a cordless canister, which would also be used to quickly clean up a mess in the car or for a supplemental cleaning.

I decided to up grade to the model before the one in this video and I have to say I am so glad I am not the only one who notices the play in these elbows Shark vacuums. The model prior to this one has a bend in the actual elbow. I bought it and hated it because the antiwrap brush is not at good at picking up as the normal brush roller. Also some small piece of plastic got caught above the antiwrap brush but there is no where to get it out because you can no longer pop the top off to access the brush roller. Also the brush roller isn't removable anymore. I just hated it. This model looks just as bad. Whoever they get to decide these new models needs a new job.

I got mine this morning & it works OK but either I've missed something or, this has got to be the silliest design of anything I've ever seen!!!! I can understand the lack of tool storage as they wanted to keep the unit slim but it doesn't stand up on it's own!!!!!!!! It is literally angled slightly TOWARDS the heavier side rather than angled away from it so it would stand up. Just a coup[le of degrees angled the other way & it would stand up on its own. It seems many designers these days are like spoilt children determined to get their own way, they'll make one thing that pops into their head work, while another 3 things don't & it doesn't bother them as it looked good on computer!!!!!! The reason it's so long is so it can fold over completely for storage as it's the only way it stands up. If it stood up on it's own to start with, you wouldn't need to fold it for storage & it wouldn't need to be so long!!! This is a cascade of major errors & I do hope whoever designed this at Shark was sacked immediately & is now stacking shelves somewhere in the outer Hebrides as a stark warning that knowing how to use Fusion 360 does not make you a designer!!!!

In theory a corded stick vacuum should be cheaper and lighter than a cordless vacuum because there’s no expensive or heavy battery and it should be more convenient than a full-size vacuum. While Shark’s corded stick vacuums are indeed cheaper than their cordless stick vacuums they’re not cheaper or more convenient than their full size vacuums in this format. I would love to see a company improve the classic 2-in-1 type Bissell Featherweight stick vacuum, which really needs better filtration and refinement. The genius of the Featherweight is all the weight is down low and it stands on its own.
