Wes Barker is a Canadian magician and comedian doing funny tricks, and telling great stories. You may know me from my TV show Big Trick Energy (truTV, HBOmax, Netflix). Watch here for hilarious, ridiculous, and unfiltered ideas with magic, stunts, and pranks. Either I'm the funniest magician who is also a stand-up comic, or maybe I'm the comic who is the best at magic? Either way you get the idea. I tour all over doing colleges, comedy clubs, and corporate events. Catch the adventures and tricks right here. With this magician / comedian from Vancouver, based out of Toronto, Canada. I make funny stuff. That’s my only rule. Everything has to be funny, from street magic to stage illusions, as long as there is a joke to be made. I do magic tricks, sketches, stand-up comedy, card tricks, mind reading, and tricks with naked people. I’ve been on America’s Got Talent, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, MTV Greatest Party Stories Ever, and Wizard Wars. You can find me pulling pranks on friends, gags on strangers, or just general sleight of hand, magic, illusions, and the occasional bar bet. Wes Barker also hosts a podcast with Chris Ramsay called Bottom Of The Barrel. Go check it out!
The elevator one was the very first lateral thinking puzzle I was ever told. Special place in my heart!
Ditto. And I had friends do the yes/no part over AIM.
Tom Scott has a podcast called Lateral, you should be on it.
Yes!
I’ll hit him up!
Omg I love ❤️ that shirt wes!!!!
Wes has gone Synthwave and it looks good !
I am the person in riddle one.
I heard the second riddle as a kid and the version I heard had him going all the way up if someone else was with him. That detail sort of makes it easier though.
Edit: Oh snap, K called it.
I love this kind of lateral thinking riddles, but so many of them involve people dying in horrific ways 😅
My favorite is presented like this: A man pushes his car in front of a building, then he immediately went bankrupt.

Answer: He was playing monopoly. He pushed his car (player token) in front of another player’s property (usually for the riddle I will assume it is a hotel, so I can say that the kind of building matters) then had to pay the other player and went bankrupt as a result.
8:00 - possibly misleading answer - he doesn't *choose* to take the stairs, he has no other choice.
Cool shades, McFly.
My thoughts based off of just hearing the initial riddles 1st: it's fireworks for the countdown to New Years, 2nd: he's training for a marathon so he chooses to use the stairs when his shoes are not wet
@wes You are so lucky to have a wife like her. Don't ever let her go!
Super fun time as always!
i love these videos 🍻
Just had an idea to expand on this series. Like how Chris has his puzzle challenges with friends to see how much you guys watch his content, you should do a riddle contest for them and see who can figure it out the fastest for fun little prizes you make, thereby finding out if they are watching your content. ;D
I love these videos - you two guys absolutely rock 🤣🤟
Such a cool video to watch as I begin relaxing for the evening - cheers for that, Wes 😁🙏🏻

Kristen (Kirsten?) needs a pair of cool shades 😎 to wear when she figures out the answers. 🐒
