Suspect in video with St. Lucie County Sheriff Keith Pearson wasn't arrested by agency's deputies

- WPTV has since learned from other law enforcement agencies that the arrest of a suspect was not made in St. Lucie County or by a St. Lucie County deputy despite being featured in a controversial video with the sheriff.
If you watch the video, he gives credit to all of the counties that helped in the arrest. I consider it a win seeing multiple counties assisting to capture a criminal.

Man gets out of jail for stealing luxury vehicle steals another one leads cops on a high-speed chase and we're in court to see if the judge is going to give him a bow or keep him locked up. We're the only cameras in court today to make sure the judge doesn't give him a bail and keeps him locked up so he doesn't put any more people in danger. Maybe that should have been what you guys were focused on maybe you should have went to his court hearing to make sure that the judge didn't give him a bill that he could post and be out so that 3 days later he could go and steal another luxury vehicle and maybe next time kill somebody.

I'm so glad some of these sheriffs are ignoring the press. We're getting the truth now. And, the truth is that if that SLC deputy hadn't been chasing/following that suspect, they would have lost him, and he would have evaded getting caught. Great job and kudos to the St. Lucie County Sheriffs Dept. and to all other LEOs involved in catching this guy.
