Every year in Iran new Iranian year starts with the first day of spring (Vernal Equinox = March 21st) when the nature is waking up, and ends 12 months later at the end of winter. We celebrate Nowruz as the most important event of the year and have a long holidays at the beginning of the new year - one week for all public & private sectors and two weeks for all schools (kindergarten to universities). Those two weeks, especially first week is the best time to see Tehran without traffic jam and go to its ski resort while the most of times sky is sunny, blue, and clean. In the first week after Nowruz, the population of Tehran decreases sharply from 10M to below 3-4M due to travel to other cities. Hope to see you someday on Nowruz in Iran, it will be a different experience on your journey in Iran compared to privious times. 🙂

It is a very nice room, not cheap for Indian standards though (see 12:45), but it's high season in a touristy area right now...
