I can never get tired of this movie. Beautifully directed by Robert Redford. The soundtrack invokes a certain mood and emotion in me that comes out of nowhere. So very soothing.
This film by Robert Redford is a classic for the ages; to my mind one of the best films ever made. It’s not about golf; that is just a tool. It’s really about the healing of a wounded hero who lost his entire company and his Guardian Angel who was looking over him and Harly too and the healing process that he went through. Totally incredible story!!
I've never seen the movie, but just hearing the score makes me want to. If the film invokes even a small amount of the emotion that this music does, I assume I would like it
This was Jack Lemmons last performance. He asked for no credit. He went out like the champ he was. It's too bad his generation of actors, with a few exceptions, was the last of the greats.

Rachel Portman's music, for some reason, reminds me of Valpolicella wine and dark chocolate - rich and deeply satisfying.
