My argument is that if you use hot water, you inadvertently melt some of the fats / oils without actually dissolving them in the solution. This would allow them to pass through the system melted, only to reharden again later. This could be to a negative effect if, for example, using a septic system where the fats could eventually clog the systems pores. Not sure how much would get melted but its most likely trivial. I use cold water for small sets of dishes, and hot water for a big set, because you're pulling hot water through the system and there's a sunk cost with delivery to the faucet
I use cold to wash hands and dishes .I'm practicing for the future. So what if it's a little more work, also hand washing gives a better gut biome and it's less energy to pay for . I also take hose showers as the hot water is free .Otherwise I must heat it with a diesel generator which I do in the winter months. An on demand heater I can't afford.
That basically sounds like somebody who's listening to somebody called "Doctor" as though he's intelligent and correct. Pathetic. Despise people like that.
maybe she was confused with washing powder that is used in clothes washing, that has "enzimes" in it. Using that in water above 40 degrees celcius tends to kill the enzimes and they no worky any more. Most basic detergents are sodium based, ie salt. Thats why we come out looking so clean and shinny after swimming in the ocean.... just like Mr Sparkles Hommer son.
@@paspax for deaf people. but there are captions if you press the CC button on the top right hand corner of the video. i dunno if the feature existed 5 years ago on YT thought. I know there’s been a huge effort to caption videos in the past few years and I think that’s great.

im american so when he said "ohhh bummer" i heard "oooo-bama" and started cracking up 😂
In love with his outfit 😱
has Dara ever done the dishes? surely personal experience should've answered this question?
Yep exactly. Lol as if she'd take a bet on something that is quite obvious...grease/oils are more fluid when hot.
so the bacteria is not only on the skin but also on the dishes if you let it airdry???
I am Adara thanks dr Karl
But she did not lose.. just have to use a little more effort.
Which means that it is better to have hot water when doing the dishes. Therefore, she lost.
@@FSCB2013 But now she has to go to work to pay for the energy to heat the water . So maybe she won.
"Ohhhhh" 😂
