Eu começava a me sentir fazendo parte de algo.
Sometimes I wonder what all the fuss around singers like Celine Dion is about when you have true musicians like Cyndi Lauper floating around....seriously. Together with Jennifer Rush, Cyndi probably had the best female voice of the 80s. What a phenomenal artist.
Exactly. She has a (incorrect) reputation for being just this silly pop star but she's one of the best vocalists there's been. Plus her songs are superb.

Cyndi Lauper was always known to have an great voice with incredible range. Most of her songs never showed her powerful voice. This one is an exception.
Tori Amos, who I adore, used to pick a song suggested from the audience back in the day and without rehearsal just sing it. Brave and wild just like she is, she attempted All Through The Night - it's on one of her 'Bootlegs' albums - and she had to stop half way through because it was so hard. Presuming that you ladies may be quite young. Cyndi never was underated in her prime...may have disappeared behind the scenes in later years but she was not only talented, quirky & fun but an 80s fashionista as she wasn't afraid to be her own person.
@Arikm7 Madonna play drums and guitar and write music before her first single in 1982, Cindy has a better voice even now but Madonna Has a better songs and she is successful on many levels even she is great dancer and Cindy .. ummh She is too clumsy to dance. The people always say Madonna imitates the outfits of Cindy but really is not true. Madonna was the drummer and guitarist of the post punk bands breakfast club and emmys and her looks are consistent with the music while cindy dressed like a peasant girl and sang with the pop band Blue angel until 1982. The true history behind the older queens of 80.s.

07jeepgirl I'm with you. Amazing talent and beautiful person. Unique and quirky and never get tired of hearing that voice.
More than that!!!
Likely the most underrated female vocalist of the last thirty years.... kudos to her for still knockin' it out of the park... just sayin'
Oh my gosh her range is incredible! Woah. Her voice just gets better and better!
Śliczna
One of the best female singer/songwriters of all time.
That's called TALENT
Much as I love Roy Orbison, Cyndi's cover is truly phenomenal and has been my favourite version since I first heard it.
I like both. Roy was first in 87 and didn't see airplay till92. Gave Cindi time to cash in large.
Love them both equally
Weirdly I heard the Celine Dion version first and that is the one I still sing in my head. Love each take on it from each artist.
OMG!! !! Cyndi is still alive and kicking singing live.! That is why she still my favorite female rock vocalist..
I'm barely human and I got them.
You know this is 17 years ago, don't you?
I hate seeing age sap her incredible physical energy on stage. She NEVER needed a chorus line of dancers, 30ft projection screens, and dozens of lasers (like Bey and Swift) to create a power storm of stage energy.
Watching this performance tells me, AGAIN, that´s she´s definetly one of the most underrated artists ever. Yes, she had huge success with her first two albums but then people just seemed to have completely forgotten she existed. She´s in her 60´s now and her incredible voice and charisma stil remain.
And i agree!
@@angemusik9406 Much better than Madonna, in my opinion. It´s just that Madonna is a great businesswoman while Lauper was a lot bolder which, in the end, didn´t help her (commercially speaking).
I can't stop watching this clip it gives me goosebumps hearing Cyndi singing this wonderful classic nobody can do this song more justice than she could
Interpretación fuera de este mundo..... Simplemente MAGISTRAL.... Gracias Cyndi.
I did not realize how beautiful Cyndi's voice truly is until I listened to this one. Thanks for sharing.
I was on edge on my seat with the largest smile on my face, she makes me so happy. Long love Cyndi !!!
Watching this in awe and admiration, and then, just when I thought I could die in peace she comes back at the minute 3:00 and kills me again with the switch in her voice. Just marvelous!!
Cindy Lauper sempre maravilhosa 🇵🇪🇵🇪🇧🇷🇧🇷
*Cyndi Lauper to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame 2023!*
Why is she not in there? 😮
I'm 21, but listening to this song and reading all these commemts i feel the time flies so fast that i don't want to go to sleep cause i'm afraid if i wake up it will be the next decade
lol i just turned 61 i remember when i thought 30 was old lol
So talented, and very unique lady, love her voice and personality..She's timeless..❤
Cyndi's is the definitive version of this song and she is such a good live performer.
I love you, Cyndi Lauper! You introduced and mesmerized me with this amazing song on your LP in the late 80s. This live version gives it it incredible brilliance and showcases your amazing vocal and performance range. No one can touch this performance. And I'm a huge Roy Orbison fan. You make him and all of us mighty proud!
you realise this was written for cyndi lauper by roy orbison and produced before roy orbisons version
How can that crowd being sitting down! I would be rocking it with her!!! Great job Cyndi!!!
Exactly!
That is one of the thoughts that I had....I can't understand it!
She was sooo living it!
They were listening, and in awe of her talent. That's cool enough. :)))
Maybe because they were recording it? Who knows.
She's over 60 years old here....and still SMOKIN'!!!!!!!
Nah, this was from 2004 so she was 51. Still gorgeous nowadays tho! And of course, an icon!
@@S_E_R_ Simply LOVELY and what a voice still!
Cyndi's amazing version. Her vocal technique is Incommensurable, from another planet !!
This song reminds me of my young days when I was driving at night coming back from the discotheques
I have never heard a bad song from this woman.
me too.
An ageless beauty, incredible voice
One of the best voices of our generation!
The rock element sounds WAY more like the Roy Version than when Cyndi recorded it originally. Very awesome, as a rocker.
Listen to that voice! She's 66 and rocks the place.
@@zebapostolakis Thats a playback.
@@ptkk21 Duh
@@ptkk21 no es playback
Marcin P no playback At all
she was 51 in 2004 for this concert.
She's always been an amazing, an original artist. Expressive with telling the story in the lyrics. Her distinctive voice. Her voice range. She's wonderful with this performance!!
WOW!!!! She killed it!! Her voice and the violin... amazing combination!!
A Roy Orbison song. She does it well
She's an angel...or maybe a goddess walking the Earth as this marvelous woman...that voice...that voice...OMG...produces me an accelerated heart and goosebumps. God bless Cindy!
Yes she gave me the chills..
Amazing rendition!! The power and control was unbelievable....she still got it!! 🤸
Obrigado Cyndi. Você é demais!
Great comment
Absolutely f×cking amazing. The crowd seems stunned watching her. Hope they realize what they were seeing.
Cindy's version of this song is and always will be the best interpretation.
Cant beat Orbison but its very close.
Cyndi's and Roy's versions can't top each other, but they both beat Celine's.

I agree 100%
Beautiful voice, outstanding vocals, the passion, awesome
My daughter grew up loving Cyndi and dad still does to this day! Such honesty and purity, a rare combination in todays world
She does make her fans love her
Cyndi is so underrated.....love her still....so talented and a beautiful lady.
Yes! She is underrated even though she's won an Emmy, a Tony and a Grammy (only an Oscar shy of being an EGOT!). So talented and so often over looked. Love you Cyndi!
Underrated?? She's been a huge star since 1984. Tons of hits. Tons of awards. She isn't underrated.
You wish you can sound this good and look this amazing at 70!!!!! She puts the current musicians to shame!
this is what it sounds like when music lives inside you ! Cyndi you are simply one of the best
This is Kim Carnes NOT Cindy Lauper
Cyndi Lauper is an exceptional artist with a non comparable charisma....Simply the best....
She makes each of her songs her very own ❤
Her voice is still so heavenly. Love her music!
Her live performance is as good or better than the studio version. I’ve heard Celine Deon’s version and Roy Orbison’s version. Cyndi’s is the best. Not saying the other versions aren’t good but this song is made for Cyndi. Fantastic song and performance.
