The crazy thing is, he managed to raised TVXQ as 2 members group from what was arguably the worst break up in KPop boygroup. And still able to make TVXQ a powerhouse in a very cutthroat industry. There arent many groups able to do so, and certainly only one with only two members.
Omg this!! 😭 the hardships these boys went through (all 5 of them). Breaking up during the peak of their career has to be very heartbreaking esp for a leader like Yunho. He’s strict to his juniors so they won’t go thru it themselves. I really admired TVXQ as they lasted and the way Cassies are still silently backing them all up after almost 20 years
SM groups are really lucky to have someone from a legendary group like TVXQ esp Yunho to advice them. Many groups idolize TVXQ but only SM Groups had the opportunity to talk with them one on one a lot. He even gave advices even over the phone. Yunho really looks out to his SM hoobaes, and I love him really

Tbh, don’t think it’s fair based on an interview. I think the rookies themselves have a better view on what company is the best in terms of closeness. I know YG has their own family but they tend to be a bit more “cliquey” with Bigbang sitting at the cool kids table and bighit is up and coming with BTS as senior idols. But ya know I like every group and I’m not an idol so who am I to judge lol
What I love in SM family is that they are all so close and respectful not only with the artist but with the staffs as well. some of rv and nct's manager are from super junior and fx. and NCT's manager always remind the members to be *"always be thankful, always be humble, always be polite"* it is a famous phrase within sm family. they are all close bc they stayed with each other longer than their own family members.
Despite being a star legend he looks after his juniors, he know how he struggled to became king, so he wants to advice and made them more perfect, it's hard to survive in the compitation era, they had to gameup to survive, glad they have him like a star who shows path...
What I love about SM is that they really have artists who respects their seniors. They basically were their role models in entering KPOP (since SM artists led 2nd gen). Seniors also constantly look after their juniors, as they want them to live up to their legacy. Like a true family. SM as a company is not the best but the culture and bond of their artists is just different from the other companies. Some companies don’t even mention other labelmate groups to “avoid issue”. SM artists in the other hand dgaf. They show their support leading their own fanbases to respect their labelmate groups instead of bashing them. (Ex. ELF-CASSIE fandom war turned to becoming the PEPSI fandom. SJ-SNSD ship issues fixed in the long run, etc.) Idols should lead their fanbases not the other way around, because they’re supposed to be role models, influencers. People always say SM is too tradition. But yeah, that’s exactly what made them who they are.
I agree with you.. SM idols don't hesitate to correct their fans if they're wrong.. Didn't eunhyuk talk about henry in one of their concerts..? Though SNSD were given the black ocean, we kept getting interactions b/w SJ and SNSD , and SNSD and TVXQ.. And I've seen elfs supporting exo, sones supporting rv and aespa.. As a fan of both and NCT and Red Velvet, I feel a bit reassured that someone is supporting them behind the scenes especially with how toxic the industry can be and most especially for my bias Joy who can be really full of worries and and whose heart is quite gentle. I'm glad she's able to let out her emotions and have Yunho to not just listen to her but offer her advice too. 💚
FYI even JJ almost cried when they did live for HUG in early debut era, & after the stage YH did reviewed TVXQ performanced & talked to JJ he had to not slower when did closing movement. And JJ almost cried. Try to find the video in YT. YH has been strict since years ago.
SM always has a preference for certain kinds of looks. Tyong really does have the striking features that JJ has. Likewise Lucas is bright eyed, tall and tanned like SHINee's Minho
