I admit, I usually skip to the end of the boys just to hear the E5 but I never go past that and I had no idea she did the F#5! It sounded solid too. I don't know a Jessica.

Prince Giordan Nah, Tae has hit F#5s live many times, discounting the Twinkle era ones, the F#5s in Cover Up were delivered with a headier mix than her usual balanced mix and she hits it with a relaxed face in her concerts alot. I wouldn't say she didn't rely on backtrack for the power as that is what we hear mostly, but she probably did sing it.

EDIT: She did do it live at Tokyo Dome, but I can't tell if it was pure head voice, or just a super heady mix, because Sunny is loud over her.

Ma Pax the same could be said about Ariana. the negativity that any singer other than her on my channel is pretty annoying and definitely gets old after a while. especially since a lot of these notes weren't nasal, and a good amount of lower ones were resonant.

Does she have problems with openness? Yes. Pitchy sometimes? Yes. But she's still a pretty damn good vocalist. So there's no blind eye. I acknowledge her issues. The thing is, people like to call out other vocalists on the same issues Ariana has, while... Taeyeon is the stronger vocalist by far.

In the past yes, but since Jessica left Taeyeon has improved immensely, expanding her vocal range to fill the void Jessica left. Jessica is naturally high pitched so its easier for her, Taeyeon's voice is low so she has to work harder for it. But she never felt the need to before because Jessica was around. Now she's unstoppable.
