In the forests you can find unique black birches and centuries-old trees, including the famous Tsar Oak in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, which is more than 800 years old. Belarus is also famous for its lakes and rivers, which form picturesque landscapes throughout the country. In the north there are many lakes, and in the south there is the marshy area of Polesie near the Pripyat River. The country has several famous lake groups, such as Braslav, Narochan and Ushach.
