- I worked on this for like over a wEEK STRAIGHT and let me tell you I'm so happy with how it came out! So.. here's an "animatic" (more like song comic) to the song "Dear Theodosia" from Hamilton, but this time around it's "Dear Jin Rulan" (and A-Yuan). I randomly got the song in my head one day when I was thinking a whole lot about the Juniors so thus this idea happened lmao. It's a mix of the anime and drama canon fyi! I have not read the comic or novel just so y'all know (and with the thumbnail I couldn't think of what else to change the line "you have your mother's name" to except change mother to father lol).

Plus, it's super accurate in the fact that Jiang Cheng was always trying to catch up to Wei Ying, which is parallel to the way Burr was jealous of the way Hamilton advanced in life so quickly

Jin ling is his shijie's son ( shijie's only living reminder) ..and Lan yuan is the only one alive from wens and reminder of alive Wen Ning and Wen Qin ( who WWX once saw and believe as a friend and family ) .. Their loses hurts him to the core ( all smiles doesn't contain a happiness . Sometimes (for WWX it's almost everytime ) it hides the greatest pain hidden in the chest )..
I was literally thinking of how perfect an animation would be for JC and WWX adding LWJ as well was brilliant and it perfected all the parts I didn’t think WWX would perfectly fit

I understood WWX and JC's protectiveness for Jin Ling so much and never felt disagreeing to it. Like, me too yes me too! I'd die for and give the world to Jin Ling too!! Same goes for A-Yuan. They are precious. They are worthy and deserve all the happiness in the world.

This is amazing! I'm SOBBING! The Untamed and Hamilton crossover is something I didn't know I needed until now! I love this so much!
Can we just take a second to appreciate both LZ and JC(mainly JC)? JC lost his sister and his brother(yes, I know he technically killed WWX himself, but still...I know in my heart that JC regretted killing him) on the same night but he didn't have the proper time to fully grieve their deaths because he suddenly became the sole parent to his nephew! I feel a lot of people don't give him the credit he deserves! He raised that child all on his own whilst also being Sect Leader and that just...he DESERVES more credit for raising that boy! Yes, he doesn't show love in traditional ways, but I know he loves A-Ling! He loves him the most! When I was rewatching The Untamed recently, I noticed that, in every situation where A-Ling is involved and JC has come to find him, the first words that leave JC's mouth EVERY single time are "Jin Ling"! No matter the situation, no matter what, JC calls out for his nephew first thing...and I can just imagine that overwhelming fear he must have because he doesn't know if he is going to be met with the annoyed face of his nephew or with news that he has died! He calls out for him every time! There were times where A-Ling was visible, standing in the crowd but still visible to JC, and JC STILL called out to him! I assume it is like...a subconscious thing...like JC HAS to hear words come out of A-Ling's mouth in order to believe he is safe and sound...and that little detail just makes my heart MELT! He shows his love in different ways, but it's there!
And LZ is very similar situation wise! He lost his husband that night and, after he had found A-Yuan, he had to raise their child alone! Yes, I'm sure he got help from his brother, but he became A-Yuan's main caretaker and he raised him alone for years! I feel like people sort of forget that he raised A-Yuan...the boy who WWX adored and who adored WWX back! Like I always forget that he raised that boy! Both JC and LZ deserve more credit for raising their boys ALONE! I'm sorry I ranted, I just had to get it out there! I'm going to rewatch this now...and continue crying my eyes out!
