- We found a used Timbersled Mountain Horse snow bike kit and fitted it to our Polaris Outlaw sport quad and the results are awesome! It isn't a snow bike or a snowmobile. Its something very different and with a bit of work it is going to be supper fun!

Great fab work as always but this seems like it would be the worst of both worlds. The decreased power of a snow bike with the lower maneuverability of a snow mobile.

Ski doo made summer wheels for snowmobiles in the 70s for there tnt
@@allaroundgamingyt8814 I actually have one of those wheel kits that my grandfather bought for his 1970 24 hp Olympic. Stupid fast......no rear suspension......and not much for steering..... shit ton of fun 🙃

yeah ive always been more of a motorbike, especially the dirt kind above snow mobiles and even snow kits for dirtbikes but THIS... the possibilities are endless
@@GrindHardPlumbingCo looks like it could use a studded track and a handle bar riser block. Have you consider doing this to a bigger quad like a ds650 or one of the 2 stroke models

Great build guys. With the equipment you have or don't but find a way to fabricate just about anything. And put so much thought into every part to make tear down as easy as possible but still very strong.. I realize I don't see the time off camera of figuring things out but you are over the top when it comes to ( Adapt and Overcome). 👏👍.
No one is perfect so you do at times go back to see how to improve on something. And that is how everyone learns to keep getting better at somethings. I have seen others that try to do what you do but not really close to your abilities. I just wanted to say your channel is awesome with great builds. Keep up the great work 👍👏👏👏👏👏

Definitely need to run a lot more sag in the front suspension. The rear doesn't seem to compress much on landing either but that doesn't look like much of a problem in that soft snow. May want to round it off with a skid plate that will keep snow moving underneath it once the height comes down. Alternatively you could build new A arms to get the width and spindle height you want but you know, that's a lot of work. Great effort for as fast as it went together! My job as a viewer is easy, I get to see the finished project and point out stuff, but you guys made it something worth viewing. ;-)

Yeah a snowmobile with a clutch and 5 gears.... haven’t found one of those you can buy from a dealer so I’d say it’s a good idea

I live 15 min out if spokane too haha, and ive never had any power sports vehicles except the ones im making! I got a 250cc quad motor and the chassis im going to use to make a blazer power wheels or something. Although I've been making go karts for about 2 years so I have a few of those. If I coukd get my hands on a bigger motor I'd make something bigger too

A lot of quads has one track pr wheel. So absolutely doable :)
Yeah they have kits for that but the tracks are small and triangular to fit well, two huge tracks like the one they have would be insane lol
In the 90's people actually raced trx240R's and LT250R's with 2 tracks and 2 skis on a snowy motocross track, some footage of it exists in slednecks 1 with seth enslow sending on an LT250R

Curious, how does this differ substantially from a snowmobile? I assume it'd be lighter weight and bouncier?
It has a five speed transmission rather than a CVT. But that's about it...

Duct Tape and WD40. Just make sure you also have an extra, smaller WD40 in case the larger one won't open, Hank Hill taught us this :P

Turning that quad into a multi-tool, love it! Next you will adapt it to be a 2 wheeler like a Honda Fat Cat. Then it will become a jet ski.

Great workhorse around the farm. Don't have to worry about smoking belts on a sled. Can also just put put when you want to without fouling the plugs. You guys just started something!!
