These ships are beautiful. They harken back to the interiors of the Lusitania-class and Olympic-class liners. I really love the furniture, light fixtures, windows, and wood paneling.

Lucky enough to have sailed on this beauty 3times now. This footage is a brilliant showcase of Royal Clipper . The crew from the various Captains down also deserve a mention. All truly want to share this unique experience with you, whether it’s your first or repeat trip.
All seem very happy to answer questions or share their knowledge or accommodate a request if at all possible.
On our last trip (July 23) sustainability was covered in a talk given by an officer which also included the restaurant manager. Purchasing & storage of supplies whilst constantly sailing around the world is an interesting topic within itself.
Captains tales are also a highlight of any sail, you have the company of the captain for usually an hour. The factual & often funny tales they tell of happenings on board & the history of Star Clippers as a company is so interesting.
In short you join a sail as a passenger & leave as a family. 2:54

Thanks for your supportive comment. To travel sustainable at sea is just one side of a voyage on a tall ship. Most fascinating is to stand beneath this great dome of sails and feel ship reacting to the power of wind...

I was lucky enougn to be on Royal Clipper March 2010. On my own but made very welcome, mainly. Slight problem with an entitleled crew man but mainly ok. he was never disciplined. At that time, woman on own, expected etc. Disappointing. Ruined a dream holiday.

my holland america ship was docked in Athens next to these ship i get curious how is it do you notice much more ship moving

of course small ships to move more than large ships. Especially on a sailing ship you have to be prepared to some degree of listing when sails are set. On the other hand, that is the feeling of being at sea and not in a hotel, isn´t it?
