Spin It To Win It || Mecha BREAK Welkin Gameplay & Commentary

I'VE GOT YOU FOR THREE MINUTES. THREE MINUTES OF PLAYTIME.
Today we're playing as the ultimate cage match champion: Welkin. This heavy hitting brawler has come a long way since the previous beta so let's see what he's got.
Now standing as one of the tankiest mechs in the game, Welkin can take quite a beating before going down. This allows him to effectively engage at close range which is where most of his damage comes from. After closing the gap and using his cage, flashbang, or boomerang drones (or perhaps all three) he then starts really bringing the pain with his various axe attacks.
Sometimes your prey will try to turn the tables in a close range fight with melee attacks of their own but that's when Welkin begins to spin. In addition to just being a hard hitting melee attack, Welkin's spin move also bypasses shields and parries all melee attacks that try to get past it. The only thing that can actually stop it is another spinning Welkin.
So let's see if we can spin it to win it on Mercury Shipyards.

GG, I feel for that Stego. You feel like you're doing great(er than your teammates, anyway) so you HAVE to be aggressive, but Stego lives in the backline. If he has to push, it's almost always already over. I've been there and learned that lesson a lot ;-;

Yeah I'm starting to reevaluate my opinion on Stego. As strong as his offense can be he is pretty helpless if he gets caught alone by melee strikers.

You can switch to HUD 2 in the settings if you want this layout. Fair warning though it seems to be currently bugged with Luminae where your Health and EN bars disappear after dying once.

What mods do you have to fly so fast as Welkin?
Also I’m going to be sad once this beta ends, this game is awesome

I'm actually not running any mods. If you're talking about the fast long-range boosts you can do those by just tapping the melee button once with no nearby targeted enemies.

what button is to drop down fast? kinda need it vs sniper
edit: also is the flashbang even useful? never met welkin user who use it

The quick-fall button is alt but I rebound it to ctrl.
Personally I never feel like the flashbang helps much. I've had a few times where it felt pretty annoying being used against me though.

​@@firespykegames just found use;hunting aquila so we flashbang him after first hit at same time as stasis so we don't get stun clawed.
edit:this also stagger welking out of spin so in mirror match we flashbang forst then melee.

Your not using your 2 skill, i think its a flash bang. Thats why you arent doing as well as you could have
