I live in Southern OR. I went on a well needed road trip. Didn't really know were i was headed 🤔 So i headed towards the coast.
As i approach the I-5 entrance going South.
"Here in Southern Oregon you have to go South to go west." 🙄 anyway, as i headed South on I-5. I put this on. That was the start of my road trip. Very nice way to eat up some road time.
Our family loves listening to these when we travel! Rocky Jordan is a favorite with everyone!

So glad you enjoyed it! Yes I believe Rocky Jordan was modeled off of HB's Rick Blane character. This show has some of the best voice actors all around IMHO! Jack Moyles is one of my favorites, Jay Novella is incredible and even Lou Krugman makes a character like Greco believable! Thanks for joining us!

I've always wondered about these wonderful voices. Is it made up or is it the result of where the actor grew up? Perhaps he lived in one neighborhood and later his family move and the accents fused. Imagine owing money to the IRS and on the phone a voice comes on and it sounds like HB. I definitely wouldn't ask for more time to pay.
It was a whole different way of talking and interacting. I think that is some of the charm of these shows. We hear stories and even the acting that is either impossible or at the least very difficult to reproduce today. I think both things you mentioned are huge factors. But in the end, even if it was HB himself on the other end of the line, I'd still have to ask for more time to pay. 😀
